We just returned from a week at Disney. Here are some thoughts on our restaurant journeys. This was more restaurant eating than we normally do on vacation but since we were on the dining plan we decided to fully use it.

Table Service
Saturday - Chefs de France - dinner
2nd time we've eaten here
Service - very good
Atmosphere - good but a little noisy, minimal wait for table
Food good - not great
Notable - App- duck confit was ok - not crispy, salad with fruit and walnuts - very good. Main course - short ribs very good, lamb - decent, coffee was good
great kids selection - a lot of variety

Sunday - Crystal Palace - breakfast
eaten here 3 times in the last 4 years
Service - (Steven - new that week) very good, sweet, 20-30 min wait for table
Atmosphere - characters - fun - typical character
Food - great variety - decent for a buffet

Sunday - Brown Derby - dinner
eaten here every year for the past 5 years
Service - (Antoinne) not good, rude server, not attentive - minimal wait for table
Atmosphere - elegant - always love the atmosphere here
Food - Cobb Salad - outstanding - filet - very good, wine - Norman Cabernet - great with the filet
children's dessert was lots of fun - Dirt and Worms (cookies, ice cream and gummy worms)

Monday - Biergarten - EPCOT - Germany - dinner
ate here once many years ago
Service - (Charlotte) very nice
Atmosphere - cramped - good entertainment if you like oompa pa music - everyone was wet from a downpour so it was a strange evening
Food - buffet - ok nothing special but kids could get food from the buffet so could be a good choice for kids who still qualify as kids rate

Tuesday - Liberty Tree - Magic Kingdom - dinner
1st visit here
Service - (Jean) very nice guy, attentive - 10 min wait for table
Atmosphere - characters - Minnie was one out little one wanted to see so this was great for that
Food - salad - ok, turkey, ham and beef - very dry - had to use gravy. potatoes were good, dessert ice cream and warm apple - coffee not great - not a great meal.

Wednesday - Jiko - Animal Kingdom Lodge - dinner
1st visit here
We LOVED this restaurant - it compares favorably with the best restaurants we've been to anywhere
Service - (Mary) phenomenal, attentive , anticipated what we needed, wonderful suggestions for meal and wine, was wonderful with our little one. After asking what we liked for wine she brought 3 different wines to the table for us to try. They were all good. The one we picked went perfect with our meal.
Atmosphere - elegant, fresh, modern, tables not too close
Food - Taste of Africa - 4 or 5 different things - loved all of them. Entrees - lamb and filet - all wonderful - reduction on the filet was perfect, wonderful desserts - French press coffee was excellent
Children's menu had carrots and peas - something our little one would eat - child's dessert was s’mores - Mary let our little one pick her dessert and watched the dessert chef use a "blue canon" to melt the marshmallow.

Thursday - LeCellier - EPCOT - Canada - dinner
ate lunch here last year
Service - (can't remember) attentive but a little too much so
Atmosphere - dark, pleasant but tables too close
Food - we were not that hungry - we shared one salad for 2 adults, and light entrees our little one just got a fruit cup. Ceasar salad - pretty tasty, salmon entree was very good, squash ravioli entree was good but a little strong onion taste.

Friday - Artist Point - Wilderness Lodge - dinner
Very good (3rd visit here)
Service - (Rae) very sweet, attentive , recited most of the menu which we found a little odd. Made a Reisling wine suggestion and said it was not sweet but it was way too sweet for us. She took it away and brought another that was much better
Atmosphere - elegant, tables not too close, very nice staff - many stopped at the table to say hi
Food – Fixed Price dinner was not on the menu –App - duck confit - superb, venison spring rolls - excelletn - Entree - Cedar salmon - excellent, halibut - light and very tasty - cooked just right. Our little one did not like nay of the appetizers for kids - they made her a fruit cup of things she likes. Her dessert was a white chocolate puzzle with a paint brush and frosting - lots of fun.

Counter Service
all of the coffee was Nescafe - not our favorite
Roaring Forks at Wilderness Lodge
Breakfast
Bounty Platter - pretty standard but enough food for 2 average eaters
Yogurt Parfait - fresh fruit and yogurt with granola - snack option - great light breakfast
Lunch
Sandwiches - really good - enough for 2 average eaters
fresh brewed ice tea
kids chicken nuggets - pretty average

All Star Sports Food Court
kids chicken dinner - chicken was great and enough for a light adult eater - the potatoes were good but about 1 TBS, corn was canned
salmon salad was very tasty

Columbia Harbor House - MK
Great sandwiches especially the tuna
Fried chicken - pretty average

Cosmic Ray's - MK
Burgers and fries, fried chicken - decent but pretty standard - hate having to stand in two lines

Cantina San Angel - EPCOT - Mexico
Taco plate - pretty tasty and hit the spot but have had lots better Mexican food
Margaritas great on a hot day
kids quesadillas - our little one ate everything on her plate

Rosie's All American - MGM
burgers - pretty standard
veggie burgers - nice to have something a little different
service here is pretty slow

Thanks for sharing your experience. Lots of variety on your dining selections, some of my favorites are in there.

Moving this to the Review Board for a better fit.

Thanks

Enjoyed reading your reviews, thanks for posting.

Thanks for the great reviews. I'm so glad you liked Jiko as it is our favorite WDW restaurant along with California Grill. :)

Thanks for sharing your reviews. We are eating at a lot of the same places in January. :)

Great reviews, glad to hear Jiko is still so good. We have'nt gone on our last few trips, but will next time. Thanks

We just returned from a week at Disney. Here are some thoughts on our restaurant journeys.
Many of the reviews on this thread are very difficult to read, requiring one to read all sorts of brief posts, like "I can't wait to read more," and the like

And many require one to search for several posts to read the whole thing.

But the OP here has done it all in the initial post, and done an excellent job as well. It was refreshing to read this post which made it unnecessary to search and read all the unhelpful posts one encounters so many times.

THANK YOU VERY MUCH.
