a week of disney magic! - PTR

i have been trying hard to wait till nearer the time to do my PTR but i am just too excited so here it is!! we are going for 6 nights/7 days in June.

the cast:
me - 33, disney mad
dh - 35, puts up with disney because it makes us happy!
dd - 5, loves disney princesses and is VERY EXCITED!
ds - 1, likes winnie and tigger, but doesn't like getting too close to the characters!

the plan:

day 1 - drive to fokestone to get the Eurotunnel, drive 2 hours or so into france and stay the night in a Formula 1, arriving 10pmish.

day 2 - drive to davy crocketts ranch to check in and get tickets. go to park, visit salon mickey for the first time! day in main park doing as much as possible! see parade. lunch - fuente del oro (or whatever it's called!)? dinner - probably back at caravan?

day 3 - EMH, another day in main park doing all we didn't get round to the previous day. get back to DCR for a swim in the afternoon before dinner. lunch - with the princesses at the Auberge. dinner- back at the caravan

day 4 - EMH (if we have the energy?), then all day in the studio's doing stitch live, playhouse disney, cinemagique, animagique, flying carpets, stunt show and anything else we have time for! lunch - pizza planet, dinner - annette's?

day 5 - day in Paris, doing vedettes de paris (clubcard vouchers ) and generally seeing the sites lunch and dinner in paris.

day 6 - main park/studio's doing our favourites. afternoon swim at DCR. lunch at cafe mickey, dinner at caravan.

day 7 - check out of DCR. main park/studio's doing our favourites. get back in the car at 5pmish for the long drive to calais, Eurotunnel then home! lunch at lucky nugget saloon?, dinner in the car.


we just can't wait! i've bought dd a belle dress which i will give her sometime - maybe when we are there? and she already has a cinderella dress and a sleeping beauty dress. i'm not sure ds will want to dress up but i do have a tigger outfit for our lunch at cafe mickey. apart from that i have a few toy story t-shirts for him to wear. we are still trying to decide whether to do buffallo bills show as it is quite late at night for my two, but i am very tempted!

hi all, thanks for your comments, we are so excited! we have now booked up three places to eat which has slightly changed our arrangements, and i realised i've missed a day of my plan!, which now look like this:

day 1 sat - travel

day 2 sun - check in a CDR, visit salon mickey for the first time! day in main park doing as much as possible! see parade.
lunch - possibly fuente del oro (or whatever it's called!)?
dinner - probably back at lodge

day 3 mon - EMH, another day in main park then DCR for a swim (from 3pm) l
unch - with the princesses at the Auberge.
dinner- back at the lodge

day 4 tue - EMH (if we have the energy?), then all day in the studios

a few updates to the plan following some comments on the boards about places to eat - and the fact that i am now a shareholder!

day 1 sat - travel

day 2 sun - check in a CDR, salon mickey, day in main park, see parade.
lunch - buffet at plaza gardens (adult 20Euro)
dinner - annettes

day 3 mon - EMH, day in main park then DCR for a swim (from 3pm)
lunch - with the princesses at the Auberge.
dinner- back at the lodge

day 4 tue - EMH (if we have the energy?), then all day in the studios
lunch - pizza planet buffet (15 / 6E)
dinner - restaurant des stars Buffet (23E / 12E)

day 5 wed - day in Paris, doing vedettes de paris (clubcard vouchers ) and generally seeing the sites lunch and dinner in paris.

day 6 thurs - main park/studio's doing our favourites. afternoon swim at DCR.
lunch - lucky nugget (30E / 15E)
dinner at lodge

day 7 fri - main park/studio's doing our favourites
lunch - toad hall fish and chips (10E / 6E)
dinner - buffallo bills wild west show 6.30 - get there early for pre-show entertainment

day 7 fri - check out of DCR. main park/studio's doing our favourites. get back in the car at 5pmish for the long drive to calais, Eurotunnel then home!

Congratulations on joining the club!!

I am very impressed at your meal plans - I could never manage two buffets in one day!! Sounds great though!!

Have a wonderful time with the princesses! I can't wait until our meal at Auberge!

thanks mumtobelle, the two buffet thing is just because we like to sit down to eat and i get a discount on buffets and my son will eat for free since he's only 1. also i think i will be hungry enough after all the running about we'll be doing!

we loved our meal at the auberge last time - a definite highlight of the trip which is why we've put it near the start to get us really in the mood! also going to try cafe mickey and lucky nugget this time as well since the character meal at the auberge was such a success!

The buffets are great for small people aren't they - especially the under 3's!

We're doing Cafe Mickey too but not Lucky Nugget - will watch out for your reviews when you get back as we've not eaten there before.
