I don't know if this is the place to post this so please don't flame me!

I was reading another post and the "poster" said she was going to buy the Disney crocs for her daughter for their trip. Just an FYI; I have both kinds for my daughters (original and Disney). Every Jibitz we put in the Disney ones fell out. Even the Disney jibitz fell out.

I was in the store last week buying yet another pair for my girls and told the clerk about them falling out. She said that she heard that complaint every week from at least one person.

On a bright note, the new Fall crocs are ADORABLE!! Sherpa lined!! and a new "duck boot" style, too. I would have bought the sherpa's for my girls but it is still hitting triple digit temps here in NC so I told them we could wait a few months.

I am thinking the Sherpa's might be great for Disney in December! princess:

Every Jibbitz counter I've been to has a sign over it that says "Not for Disney Crocs".

Apparently, they know the holes are too big for the Jibbitz.

Really? I have never seen that sign. Of course, many of the places that sell the Jibitz don;t keep them on the counter anymore as people steal them like crazy. Most of what I see now is just a display with one of each type they sell glued onto a laminate board. Or sometimes a pair of shoes with the Jibitz in the holes will be displayed.

If anyone out there gets the sherpa-lined ones, let us know how you like them!

I had to check out the sherpas on the crocs website...I hadn't heard of them prior to your post...omg...are they the cutest???

Lots of new styles too. I'm sure they'll be a lot of croc-converts.

I was just at WDW and there was a sign that said the Disney Jibbitz would not work with the ADULT disney crocs, only the child. BUTTTTT I bought my dd 3 Disney Jibbitz and she lost all 3 within 2 days. Even though they are wider, they still fall out. Waste of 12 dollars!!! (4 bucks per jibbitz) I wonder how many they lose to theft. They are so small.

E-bay sells washers to hold the Jibbetz into the Disney crocs I made a few out of Craft Foam sheets for a friend of ours and they never fell out of her 6 yearolds or bothered her any.

Great thinking!

I bought those for my daughter. While they did significantly SLOW the rate at which she lost them, it didn't totally prevent it. If she did a lot of walking or hard playing, they still fell out. Only this time, she lost the disbitz too!!

A Jibitz is the little thingy that fits in the holes of the Crocs shoes. They come in all sorts of designs. There are flowers, bugs, sports balls, jewels and even Disney characters. Lots and lots of designs. Our local NC store even has them for the different colleges in our state.

AND!!! When we were at the FSU bookstore this summer, I bought my DD a pair of FSU ones...real FSU CROCS not some knock off brand. They are the original :yay: type in Garnet and Gold. Too cute!!

pardon this interruption but couldn't you do the same thing with any kind of plastic lid? It doesn't really have to be foam - just big enoug to keep the Jibbitz from falling out.

I bought a lot of the Jibbetz for my sons disney crocs in May and they have all fallen out! Oh well, Live and learn...

YES, charms, that is the word...so much better than "thingys" LOL :rotfl:

A friend of mine just got a pair of the Sherpa lined Crocs and she said they feel really good. One thing to note about those, though, is that with the lining in, it makes the Crocs a tighter fit. She ended up getting a size larger than she normally wears so that they would fit properly.

This is actually a good idea to do even on the "regular" crocs....because the Jibbitz pop out of them too, not as quickly since the holes are the right size, but drag your foot on something (like the ride seat in front of you), and pop, there it goes. PUt in a piece of foam or plastic that prevents it from being able to come out so long as your foot is in the shoe, and presto, no more lost Jibbitz.

The family selling the washers on ebay are making a killing I tell ya...it's like $5 plus shipping for just a few of them. If you go to Walmart and buy the heavy craft foam it's less than a dollar....cut them yourself and voila....you have enough saved to buy another jibbitz!

Someone suggested using very small hair rubberbands or using braces rubberbands. I've never done it but it might work.

Yes but the Foam work well and easy . i used a Hole punch to make a center hole that would hold up a bit better when stretching over the backside of the Jibbitz . The foam also won't scrape the top of the foot if it does rise to that point.

Here's a Pic I made when I did it for her and it's been a while. It shows the front and back of one as well as the thickness of the foam.

Love the hole punch idea! I am going to do this today and keep a bunch of extras in a snack ziploc for future Jibitz.

Good info about the fit of the Sherpa Crocs.

Has anyone tried the "duck boot" style. They are sort of like the rubber hunting boots that LL Bean sells. :flower3:
