A Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour?????

I'd suggest reserving your spot ahead of time, unless you are going at a very slow time (but even then I'd reserve....they probably have to have so many people doing it, to do the tour)

thank you very much!!! You won't be disappointed in this tour.....we were fascinated by all the behind the scene stories our tour guide told us!!!

Have a great trip!!!!

Is there a minimum age requirement for this tour. I know my dd who will be 14 when we go next would love to do this.

She would be fine....they suggest it is not for young children. It's about 3 1/2 hours of walking & standing around. You listen to audio clips thru headsets & hear a lot of history & trivia. Most young children would bore easily & be a distraction, but I don't see any reason why your DD couldn't go & even enjoy it!!

I think the tour is fine for teenagers. Unless a young child looks up to Walt the way Walt looked up to President Lincoln(even dressing up like him for Halloween or something), it's going to be completely over their heads and may "spoil the magic."

I just wanted to add that when I booked my trip with getawaytoday.com, the confirmation included a link to download coupons. One of those coupons was for 20% off the price of this tour and one other tour (can't remember what the other tour was).

Made reservations and purchased our tour tickets yesterday for this. With the 20% AAA discount, it was $47.20 per person. YIPPEE!!!!!!!1

Thanks everyone for your help.

Congrats!!! You won't be disappointed (as long as you are Disney lovers...lol). Don't forget your camera!

We just did this tour 2 days ago! We did enjoy it, but...the electronic listening things weren't all working properly so we went without. It was a little hard to hear the guide at times and I think she may have been a little frazzled without having the normal little audio bits for us to listen to. It does sound like listening to Walt's voice would have added a lot to the tour.

Our tour started at 9:30 (I believe the other tour of the day started at something like 1:30 or 2:00) and the tour lasted about 3.5 hours, including lunch time. We rode the Jungle Cruise (with probably the best driver ever!) and rode a short distance on the train. The Tiki Room was the last thing before heading back to the tour garden for lunch.

We didn't get the pins becasue they were out, but they did take our names and addresses to mail them to us once they get more pins in.:thumbsup2

How much is the tour with AP discounts? Sorry I did not see the above post! Thanks!

I think my wife and I are definitely going to do it this year. What happens if you call ahead and reserve it and then need to change days? Is that possible?

That's a good question. They did tell me if it rains and they cancel the tour, we get a refund. I didn't ask about changing days on my own.

Just call and tell them you have to change the date and they will change it for you.

What day did you book? I'm confirmed for the 8th.:cool1:

We are doing 9:30 am on Thursday May 7.

We were going to do Friday but thought in case of bad weather we couldn't reschedule. We are leaving for home on Saturday. This way if Thursday is cancelled, we can reschedule for Friday (if there is space available)

Loved this tour. We were greeted by a wonderful CM named Rachel. She was a delight. Very knowledgable and friendly. She took our lunch order and gave us special badges to wear on the tour. You get to keep them. She also handed out our headsets. You start the tour on Main Street and hear alot of speeches/words from Walt himself. The headphones are comfortable and were very clear to hear even with the crowd noise. I won't divulge what you do on the tour but it is great. When we finished the tour, we had a wonderful lunch waiting for us in the Tour Gardens. It was a shady spot in a beautiful setting. The lunch was very good. This tour, to me, is definitely worth the money. Also if you have an AP or if you belong to AAA, you get a 20% discount.

does anybody know what the lunch selections are?

It is a a few different sandwich choices. Can't remember exactly but we had turkey on wheat sub roll. YUM YUM!!! You also have your choice of chips or fruit. We picked the fruit, which was grapes and strawberries. You also get your choice of a bottle of a Coke product.

Mike - Cookies, Choc Chip Cookies. And they are in a baggie of their own, I remember we took ours with as we were full from the lunch.
The lunch is quite nice, the tour itself is better.:thumbsup2

Redsox..."told ya so!":thumbsup2

Seriously, thanks for sharing on the positive experience.:) I agree with you.
