A Walk in Walt's Footsteps Tour - When to Book?

Close friends, DH, and I are taking a trip to Disneyland for the first time during Easter week next year (March 24-28). It will be shortly before the first anniversary of my friends, so we are planning on surprising my dear friend's husband (one of my best pals from college) with the Walk in Walt's Footsteps tour on the last day of our trip. The plan is to check out of our hotel, hop in the car, and start moping that our trip is over...before deciding to just pull into the Disneyland parking lot just one more time for the heck of it, at which point we'll tell him we're also going on the tour

How far in advance should I book this? We are currently about nine months out from out trip. As a WDW vet...I already feel behind in my planning Of course, Disneyland is a whole 'nother animal. Should I be calling tomorrow, or will the cast members think I'm insane?

The DLR web-site says that you can call one month in advance.

For March 28, I would think that you should call on February 28.

Edited to add: But since February is a short month, maybe you should call at least 30 days before, which would be February 26. Disney math?

Ah - thank you! I was on a specific page for the tour I wanted, and couldn't see a time frame for booking there. Now I feel silly.

I took my wife on this tour in May for her birthday, it was a blast! You guys will have a great time on the tour!
