Any one have a recent lunch menu for the tour? The ones I'm finding have some variations.
Thanks

Also is it easy to omit dressings and sauces on the sandwiches?

I had a soda, turkey sandwich and a cookie or cupcake. There was not a big choice, did not care the tour was just so greatly and we got a really nice pin.

I had the turkey sandwich
(good) chips (meh) cookie and water.
DH had the chocolate cake and it was good!!!

It has been many years now, but they were AMAZINGLY accommodating when we did this tour back in August 2008. I was injured the day before our tour and had stitches inside my mouth (Skip this part if you don't want to be grossed out! - I tripped and fell in Toon Town and ripped my lip away from my gum where it connects under the front teeth. I had a Disney ambulance ride & 7 stitches in my mouth!) I was only allowed to eat really soft stuff with nothing in it that could get into the stitches. Basically, clear broth, ice cream, jello, yogurt was about it.

When we checked in for our tour and they were taking lunch orders, I explained that I would just have to skip the lunch and why. They said they would see if they could come up with anything, but I didn't really expect much. When we finished the tour and started lunch, they brought me out 2 large Styrofoam cups (think large fountain drink size). One was filled with chicken broth and the other was full of vanilla yogurt. The gentleman who brought it out to me said they had given me as much as they could so I could take it with me and it might help with dinner or a snack later. I was really impressed. It really did help since trying to find anything I could eat (other than ice cream) was not particularly easy at a theme park.

Compared to this, I would think leaving the sauce/dressing off a sandwich should be pretty easy :)

Another question. My niece and I are taking this tour in June. Can the rest of the family join us for lunch? I know they will need to order and pay for their own lunch, but are we required to site in a special spot with the tour group. Or, can we leave the tour at that point and sit with the rest of our family? I am thinking the tour is over at lunch and we leave when we are finished eating?

We sat in a reserved area for lunch with no room for extra people. In a sense, the tour was still occurring during lunch. Our guide handed out the pins and answered loads of questions. After lunch we went to the Dream Suite so, it does not end after lunch. The entire thing was closer to 4 hours as a result.

Our tour ended at lunch. We did the Dream Suite before lunch. When we were there, we were needing to get to DCA to see Frozen, so we ate quickly, took the rest of our lunch with us, and headed to DCA. Our tour guide was still answering questions, but we got our pins and didn't feel like we were missing out on too much.

Aren't there 2 tour times? That may play into it. I think we did the 9 am tour?

I did the 10:30 tour last June, and it ended with lunch, and there was plenty of space where people could have joined us. We had an exceptionally small tour group, however - three people. Our guide did not stay through our entire lunch.

I'm just jazzed that I get to do it again - this time with DH and DD9. Last time I did it alone because DH didn't really want to spend the money for himself and DD.
We have never been first time to DL for our family. We have done the Keys to the Kingdom tour at MK and loved it. DH and I did it on two separate trips because the kids were too little. I am going to use our Disney Rewards for the tour and I am surprising the family. I know DH and my kids will love it. My kids are 14 and 16. But I'm hoping my nephew will also. He has only been to WDW once when he was 8 he's 18 now.

I did the Christmas tour last November and thoroughly enjoyed it! Being a long time Disney fan and trivia-lover, I'm excited for this tour next! I'll be doing it in July, solo. I loved having a meal and souvenir pin included and felt like it made the high cost a little more bearable. I just wish we could have the ability to walk on more attractions than 2.

Well, that would be ok to me. Quite contained and not busy, and probably a welcome, since mid-July when I plan to make the tour will be very busy!
