Disney Day 10: Monday, 9-Jun-2003

Our last day’s plan was to pack and eat breakfast at the Cape May Café, and to check-out and spend the day swimming at Stormalong Bay or shopping at Downtown Disney. We considered using our last plus option at Typhoon Lagoon, but decided that with packing and the character breakfast, that would make the day too hectic. We ended up spending most of the day visiting resorts looking for some less common pins my younger son was trying to collect.

Dinner was at Jiko at the AKL, which we enjoyed very much, and then we spent the rest of the evening at the Adventurers Club.

After the fireworks at PI, we got in the car and drove back to St. Augustine Beach, arriving at around 2:15AM. On our prior Disney trips, I was able to buy the next day’s newspaper before going to bed, but this time someone had stolen the paper machine over the weekend.

So ends the story of a fantastic family trip to Walt Disney World. As at the end of each of our Disney vacations, I can almost understand why people take multiple trips each year to Disney World. (Still, it will never be the right thing for us. There is too much else to see and do.) We are looking forward to our next trip.

Tuesday, June 10th, Back at the Beach!

(Have you noticed a pattern here?)

I’ve covered a number of St. Augustine restaurants in my restaurant reviews.

Sunday, June 15th, Homeward Bound!

No traffic problems going home, and it took over an hour less than the trip down.

Monday, June 16th, Back to Work. (Bummer!)

Well, it still beats the snot out of being unemployed!

Thanks for sharing ~ Wonderful reviews!!!!!

Great trip report. Thanks for the details. Hate to say it, but I agree about Living Seas and Innoventions. Also agree that RnRC is the best ride EVER!

Thank you for your reports - I really enjoyed them! My youngest son has asthma too so I know where you are coming from with the cig smoke!

My #1 tip on asthma at Disney is to call the special assistance number and request a VIP Cleaning. The do extra vacuuming, wipe down all the walls, and replace the drapes and comforter with clean ones. No charge.
