Its crazy how fast they grow up. I wish they would slow down a bit.

Yeah I can't believe we can start making ADRs soon!

Alright so I got my pins out to show the kids and found this pin in it that made me smile.

I got this pin in 2000/2001 from a CM. I was waiting with my dad by the exit of Big Thunder Mountain Rail Road when a CM came up to me and asked if me I like to collect pins. I said yes and he gave me this pin. I told him I couldn't accept it and my dad said it was fine (I was 12/13). It totally made my day. He said it was a special pin and that he could always get another one if he wanted it. I haven't seen anyone else with it since that day. It instantly made me smile and I've kept it my lanyard ever since. I have had several people ask me where I got it from and I always tell them the story. Some people ask me to trade and I say no. This is my special pin. :D

I love pin trading! :D On our day trip in March I got the kids interested and Troy loves it. Rachel didn't really get the point but I expected that.

I collect Tinker Bell and Tigger pins. I also have a lanyard with other misc pins that I liked and picked up here and there. Troy has a lanyard with Tinker Bell pins that he traded for in March. Rachel has two Aurora pins that she traded for. No lanyard for her yet she won't keep it on for long and I don't want her to drop it somewhere.. My DH has even gotten interested. He likes the Nightmare Before Christmas pins.

Love the pin story...it added a little magic to my day!:wizard:

So things have been crazy around here. Troy & Rachel have had a code since the 1st. Troys almost over it but Rachel is still really sick. :( She's going to the doctor tomorrow. Lilly got it on Friday and we we were hoping she would get over it quickly. Well last night she started coughing really bad and then she vomited everywhere. I took her to the ER ( we don't have a urgent care within 30 minutes of us). While at the ER she started coughing & turned blue. :( That was so scary! So after two hours at the ER they told me she has a slight case of RSV and gave her a prescription.

So that was my awesome Saturday night. Man who says you can't have a wild weekend when your a parent? lol. So I dropped her prescription off at the 24 hour Wal-Greens and I've already picked it up :). Until shes better I'm not sure how much planning I'm going to get done.

Alright so after the kids went to bed DH and I really talked our trip. We decided to upgrade to the Contemporary - tower theme park view! Were doing 2 days at Magic Kingdom & 2 days at Epcot so if we do this we won't have to drive. We'll only have to drive to Hollywood Studios. Plus if we do this then when DH takes Troy to see Fantasmic I can take the girls to the Magic Kingdom for a bit.

I updated the first post with all of our new information. The price of the hotel did go from $1300 to $2666 but were okay with that. :) I can't believe we're going to stay at the Contemporary! Crazy!

Yeah we had to change our dates a bit. When we told my parents about our trip they were shocked and kind of distance but it was because Troy's best friend & his family bought plane tickets to come down for his birthday! So when they told us this we moved the dates up a bit. Originally we were going to be at the Magic Kingdom on his birthday & now we head home on his birthday. But when we get to my parents house his best friend & parents will be there. :D

I can't make ADR's until tomorrow. We haven't actually booked the hotel yet so I don't have a reservation number. I'm so excited.

I hope everyone is feeling better!

:yay:For the upgrade! I am so excited for you. I had orginally booked POR-Riverside, but decided to splurge a little and found a DVC member to rent BWV from. I am so excited, cause this is right where I wanted to be. Might as well do it up right!

The girls are not feeling good at all. They have a doctor appointment tomorrow at 11am. Their doctor called in some medicine for them so they've been taking it today.

Splurge! Do it. :) lol. :rolleyes1

Excuse Me? Can we have some entertainment?

My Aunt & Uncle work as CM's for Disney. My Uncle's been working there since I was in elementary school so we would go a lot! When I in middle school we would go once every month for a day. So since we went so often my parents would often over look the little aspects of Disney - parades, bands, street characters at DHS, ect. Those were all over looked! If it didn't have a line & a FP machine it wasn't worth checking out. :( So from the time I was 6 to 14 I never saw a Disney parade. How did I see it at 14? My parents let my sister and I go off on our own. We sat down talked about what we wanted to do and our #1 was the 3pm parade! We have never seen it. We've been going to WDW at least once every month for the past 8 years and had NEVER seen a Disney parade. Even now when my parents go they can't stop and just watch a parade.

This is not something I want to do to my kids. I don't to be rushing them from one ride to another. I think that's why I'm so exictied about spending 2 days at the parks this trip. We'll be able to stop and check out the little things that Disney does to make the parks so awesome!

On our must do lists is
- Beauty & The Beast Show - as long as its not too cold
- Lights Motors Action - as long as its not too cold
- DHS - the drawing class
- 3pm parade at MK
- See the Dapper Dans
- Find Push
- Actually LOOK around the countries in Epcot & not just walk by them.

Lets Get Crafty :-)

So after reading a few TR's and hanging out (I mean lurking) on the DISigns board I have a few (hundred) ideas that I want to do for our trip

  • Coupon Book
  • Activity Book
  • "Grand Welcome" - candy bar wrappers, banner, candy bags & toppers, small gifts for each kid
  • Birthday gift tag from Mickey Mouse
  • Welcome Letters
  • Child ID tags using favorite Disney characters
  • Trip planning pages
  • s'mores kit
  • make kids t-shirts?

I have most of what I need to do what I would like to. The only problem is that I want to do it all now.... :rolleyes1 Yeah its a bit too early right? So I have some stuff saved on my computer for now. I am thinking about trying out the t-shirts now. My sister makes t-shirts for her sorority and said she would show me how she makes them (no sewing necessary!).

I wanted to make Rachel a t-shirt that said princess in Aurora fabric but none of our stores has any fabric with her on it! I did find a store online but you have to buy at least two yards ($9 per yard) and pay $3 for shipping.. I'm thinking of getting the pattern of Belle, Cinderella and Rapunzel that our Wal-Mart has ($5 per yard & I only need half at the most so $2.50). Its not crazy and I don't have to pay shipping. Lilly is also going to get a princess shirt that matches :) (unless she really shows that she prefers a different character). For Troy I was thinking of making one say pirate in a skull pattern ($6 per yard at Wal-Mart). :) Our Wal-Mart even has a pattern that has Thing 1 & Thing 2 on it. I'm thinking of making the kids: Thing 1, Thing 2 & Thing 3 in the pattern. That would be so cute. Maybe Thing Husband for DH? and Thing Wife for me? OR Dh can be 1, I'll be 2, Troy can be 3, Rachel can be 4 and Lilly can be 5.. But that means I have to get DH to go along with it.

OoooOOooo I can't wait to get started! :yay:

I have a list of "to-do" projects too, but I just can't seem to get focused and decide what I want to do. My number one thing is to make an autograph book...but I know I will be scrapbooking a trip album when I get home and I really do not like the idea of having a separte autograph book. I saw ideas of doing basically index sized cards for an autograph book, but it just does not seem very personal when we are in the heat of autograph hunting.

The kids and I are going to make Mickey tie-dye shirts for Mickey's Birthday in November...they just don't realize that we are making them to wear in a few weeks...they will just think it is part of a movie night activity! :rotfl: I hope they turn out well...the youtube video looks pretty easy!

Oh No! ADR not available?

So I guess Le Cellier is a pretty popular place? Why do I say that because there are NO reservations available for when we will be there. :( So we need a new TS place to eat at Epcot. DH was really looking forward to eating there too. When I showed him that the website showed that there is nothing available the day we wanted to go at all from 11:30 to 7pm! He was shocked and said he now understands why I was going crazy trying to get him to pick where he wanted to eat so far out in advance. :rotfl2: I told him the more popular places get full and fast!

Once the kids go down for a nap we'll look at the menu's again and see if we can pick another place. Fingers crossed this one will be available.

Oh I guess I can tell you which ADRs I did get
Sunday the 4th - Hollywood & Vine dinner F! package at 4:40pm
Monday the 5th - Askerushs at 8:05am
Tuesday the 6th - Chef Mickeys at 5:05pm
Wednesday the 7th - 1900 Park Fare at 8:05am

So tomorrow I've got my fingers crossed for a lunch ADR for Sci-Fi Dine In. Plus we still have TWO TS credits to use... We were going to do Mickeys Backyard BBQ but that's not available either. So we need to figure out some dinner ADRs for them - maybe DTD and the Boardwalk for dinner after we do the Universal parks (on the 10th & 11th).

So on the 10th & 11th we will also be going to the Universal Theme parks. We did Island of Adventures on our last trip in February but weren't able to do Universal Studios since Rachel got sick the night before and we went home early.

But I did want to share some pictures from our trip in February.

Rachel & Troy loved the Cat In The Hat Ride. In fact they loved it so much we rode it four times that day and never had to wait in the line.

Thankfully it wasn't TOO cold out since Rachel made a mess on herself and I didn't have any extra clothes.. :scared1: So we spent $30 on a t-shirt & shorts for her...

Troy loves trains

Can you tell that Troy loves Spiderman? He had the jacket, the "warm up" pants, a t-shirt and a stuffed plush with him that day. I must say Spiderman was kind of rushing the kids but when he saw Troy he stopped and spent about 6 minutes with him. Troy loved it.

Those are just my favorite pictures. I have 200 pictures from that day......:rolleyes1

You guys will be there from 4 December through 11 December? We just booked our trip for those dates as well. We are still sifting through other TRs to begin planning our own.

Yup. We arrive on the 4th and we leave on the 12th. :D

So I have must of our ADRs made (expect for our last day which I'll make tomorrow). My DH is being a huge butt about the ADRs - especially when it comes to Epcot. We had wanted Le Cellier Steakhouse but there are no times available until 7:30pm when I checked. I keep checking every morning but so far I'm not having any luck.

So as right now this is our ADR list.

Arrival Day 12/4 5pm - Hollywood & Vine for F! package
12/5 - 8:05Am Akershus Royal Banquet Hall
12/6 - 5pm Chef Mickeys
12/7 - 8:05 1900 Park Fare
12/8 - 11:30 - Sci-Fi Drive In
12/9 - 12pm Akershus Royal Banquet Hall (really trying to change this one)
12/10 - 5pm Planet Hollywood
12/11 - Not sure yet DH wants to go to the boardwalk after Universal Studios.
