A Very Lurkyloo Christmas is FINISHED! New 3/16: Last Day of the Trip!

Lurky
In case you were curious (aka: wanted to break in next time...)
The door to the non-existant ballroom is actually a working door. Behind said door is a series of TV screens that flash the picture that was just taken on the ride. There is a castmember back there. That castmembers job is to check out the picture and make sure no one is doing anything un-disney (flashing the camera, etc) and delete it if necessary.

1. Boo to Wilmer Valderrama (aka Fez) for not making Manny more believable. What's his deal?

Seriously! As an artist, wouldn't he want to have only his best work playing a bazillion times a year in a theme park?

2. I like 50's prime time ....I have had their salmon a couple of times and its always been good. Plus, I think the place is a hoot, especially if you go with a large group or a kid with braces.[/quote

Ooh! Ooh! What happens if there's a kid with braces? :hyper:

I just read through your TR and cannot wait for your updates. I even went over to read your wedding blog, not even planning on getting married again, EVER! But if it's about Disney...I'm there! You are so comical and your TR is a refreshing change from so many others. THANK YOU!!

I do have one question. How were the crowds this time of year? Of course AK EMH might not be a good example to go by, but I've always wanted to go that time of year. I would have been so scared riding all alone on dinosaur, though.

You are so sweet - thanks for the kind words! I would say that the crowds were not terrible, but they were certainly bigger than we were used to having only traveled in early February and September.

We made these yesterday for Vday and I thought you might like them...I'm sure if you aren't into jelly you can easily leave that layer out. :) it's really easy and NO BAKE!

Thanks for the recipe! I wonder if I can use, like, chocolate fudge instead of the jelly... :scratchin

:rotfl::lmao:Can't wait and CONGRATULATIONS!!! :banana:

(And I WILL make it to Disneyland...someday :) )

That's the spirit! :thumbsup2

Oooh! Thanks for the tip! We used to have people like that on Splash Mountain at Disneyland but they cut the position to save money. Now I keep hoping to catch a glimpse of an un-Disney photo everytime we walk by the picture display area! :rotfl:

Hey Carrie! All caught up on your TR. I saw that Butterfinger Cupcake when I was there in December. I took a pic of it. It looked really good, sorry to hear it was disappointing.

I am holding you PERSONALLY responsible for that bad cupcake! :rotfl:

So yesterday my life-long dream of being on a podcast was realized when I got interviewed for the PassPorter Moms Podcast: Disney & Beyond. (That's right - all my life, even before they were invented, I've longed to be on a podcast...)

I thought I would just be answering questions about Disney weddings - and there was some of that - but they also wanted to hear all about our engagement and stuff, so I got to talk even MORE!

Check it out!

Also, if you listen all the way through, they give you a code for 20% off any PassPorter book!

I am listening to it now...cause I am being a slacker at work today ...Shhh

I think you did a wonderful job on your podcast. :thumbsup2 And it is so nice to finally put a voice with the face! Congrats!

Great job! :thumbsup2

I have never listened to any of the podcasts before, but there was no one in the office this morning so I decided to take advantage!

You were great! I do not know the other ladies and I mean no offense to them, but your voice was the best to hear and easiest to listen to. Perhaps you should get your own show!

Great podcast! Even though I don't need the wedding info anymore I couldn't tear myself away hehehe.

And just to comment on your bluezoo recommendation in the podcast....if the person who asked that question is reading this....go to bluezoo and get the bazooka joe cocktail. O.M.G. :cloud9:

That sky really does look nasty!

“Gee, Manny, why do you sound like you’re totally baked?”
“Yeah, Manny, are you phonin’ this one in?”
“Whatever, tool guys – is my royalty check here yet?”
“Um…What royalty check…?”

Perfect quotes for the pictures that went with these! So clever!

Seriously. It almost made me want to eat a piece of fruit.

:rotfl2: Sorry you didn't like the cupcake. I wonder if the peanut butter/chocolate one would have been better?

Yum!!! Are they all gone?

I know I already sent you a note on Twitter about it, but I just wanted to come share the love here, too. :goodvibes You did a fantabulous job on the podcast, and you sounded better than a LOT of the hosts of the shows I listen to regularly. You really should think about starting up a Q&A podcast or something ~ you have a great voice for it! :cutie:

AHH! I want to try Sprinkles cupcakes so bad! I love love LOVE cupcakes! I hope they open a Sprinkles in the DC area, until then I will exsist on Georgetown Cupcakes... they are OMG!WORTHDRIVING40MINUTESINDCTRAFFIC good.

Liked the podcast! It is really nice to put a voice to your lovely face! :) I also enjoyed hearing your stories about how you came to really love Disney and how you and Patrick met. It was nice, Thanks Carrie. :)

Awesome job on the podcast, Carrie! ITA that you should seriously consider starting your own, you were that great! :yay:

+1 :guilty: Don't tell.

:rotfl: You guys crack me up! If I still had an office job, I'd be doing it too!

That's great, Carrie! I'll have to check it out :)

Hope you like it! Cuz if you don't, I'm not giving any money back! :lmao:

I think you did a wonderful job on your podcast. :thumbsup2 And it is so nice to finally put a voice with the face! Congrats!

I think the volume issues are due to the technical vagaries of using Skype, but I will take your compliment and stick it in my rapidly swelling head! :teeth:

Great Podcast! Well done!

Thank you for listening! :wave2:

Good to know! I appreciate your listening even though it was kinda old news for you! :goodvibes

Congrats on the Podcast interview! I'm listening to it now! :thumbsup2

Thank you! Hope you liked it!

Yum!!! Are they all gone?

Amazingly, they are not! I discovered - the hard way - that three cupcakes per day is over my limit. I woke up the next morning feeling almost hungover from all the sugar.

Thanks! You know, it was so much fun, I would definitely be interested in doing more. I worked in radio all through college - maybe I could start putting that training to use!

Oooh! Going on my Washington, DC "To Eat" list...

Liked the podcast! It is really nice to put a voice to your lovely face! :) I also enjoyed hearing your stories about how you came to really love Disney and how you and Patrick met. It was nice, Thanks Carrie. :)

You are so sweet - thank you! I was surprised how much they wanted to talk about personal stuff, so I'm glad to know at least one person wasn't bored by it! ;)

Awesome job on the podcast, Carrie! ITA that you should seriously consider starting your own, you were that great! :yay:

Debbie

Thanks! All these compliments are starting to give me ideas! I have to say, it would be a heckuva lot quicker to podcast this dang trip report than to write it, but I'm not sure how it would work with the pictures... :scratchin
