A Very Gay Magical Moment

I just wanted to share a very magical moment that I had while at WDW this past December...

A little background...My fianceé (unfortunately STILL...*sigh*) and I have been together for seven years now and have been out for almost three decades combined. Neither of us have actually seen a family with gay parents and their kid/kids in person before though! We aren't recluses or anything, but for some reason we just have never met a family yet.

Well, I was eating at the POP food court on the last day of my trip and I glanced over to the table next to me and noticed two dads feeding their young kids! I tried not to stare, but the love between them was quite moving.

My fianceé and I have faced a lot of discrimination, violence, and rejection over the years and so it made me somewhat teary to actually see in-person that a couple had overcome all the negativity out there and be openly and lovingly sharing a meal together.

So cute!

We would love to have children, and still considering fostering this year or next.

I always get teary eyed when I see a gay couple with children.

I spent the morning with the gay couple I had a baby for 4 years ago! It was so awesome seeing them interact with their little boy. I never doubted for a second that they were going to be wonderful parents to the baby I carried (surrogate). I hope other people enjoy seeing their wonderful family as I much as I do.

My partner and I had twins ( via sperm donor) back in January of 2009...the best decision we ever made. We live in a state that does not allow same sex marriage however, we have never had an issue (preschool, soccer, gymnastics etc) with anyone ever doubting our two mommy family. Our kids have been brought up to know that families are defined by who you love, not by the bible or laws. They are exposed to all types of families( grandparents raising grandkids, two mommies, two daddies, mom and dad, dad and stepmom etc) because we think that is important. Our twins are surrounded by so much love from both our families. Even though I am the one who gave birth, my partners family is still their granny, papaw, aunt etc. We are very lucky! :) Believe me I count my blessing every day!
