Jillian, I'm glad your car is fixable!! We do get attached to our cars, don't we? Before mine got stolen I would ahve been devasated if an accident left it beyond repair. Devastated. Now, not so much, but my car was violated in a way that can't be fixed so it hasn't been the same since.

I remember you posting about your car before. I can't believe it still. That whole situation was really bizarre! But I don't wanna bring up old bad memories so enough with that.

Mellow morning. Dropped DD7 off at VBS and now just Listening to Spotify, another streaming music site ... I guess it was big in Europe and just now is in the US? Right now they have no ads so

I have a gift certificate for a restaurant at the Fairmont (the fanciest hotel in suburbia-San Jose) that expires today. It's a lunch for 2, I meant to use it as date for DH and I, but oh well - gonna drag DD7 along. We'll see how it goes

Ohhh I have heard of Spotify. I think I will give it a try. And no ads? I wonder how long that will last.

I tried restarting it yesterday but that didn't work. I've got t get out of the house today so the real test will be when I come back, if it recognizes the network or not.

I hope it works! I know how annoying it is to have to try to connect everytime!

Except, Laurie I am every other Thursday. I plan my menu and grocery list on being able to go to Costco every other Thursday and write a check to buy groceries. I hate living payday to payday.

OK! So the verdict is that it seems to be working!! Yay. Now hopefully it stays that way. It takes a second for it to find it whereas it was pretty automatic before but at least it works without me having to type out that infernal super-duper long password each time.

Just got back from lunch with my mom and totally lucked out. I had taken some change from Miss Piggy for the meter but somehow once I parked I was too focused on meeting my mom at her office I totally forgot to feed the meter! I have never done that before and I didn't realize until we were walking back to my car and my mom noticed someone else had gotten a ticket. I wanted to make a run to my car and boy was I terrified I'd have a ticket. Thankfully I didn't though. SO before I left I just put my change in anyway and then came home. Ugh. That would have given me a headache. Sure it would have only been like $25, but that's $25 that could be better spent.

We plan out the weeks menu too.....we pick up exactly what we need, but no more. So finding something mid-day for a snack or giving the kids dessert at night (which according to them is a MUST MEAL)...lol has been slim pickins! We knew losing income from Tyler coming in would make things tight....but this is ridiculous!!

Speaking of tickets.....Derek has his court date this morning on the cell phone ticket......they didn't lower the fee at all & told him to take the diversion class so it won't be reported to the DMV.....LAME!!!! He came to a stop light....called us because a light came on in the van & then hung up. Cop watched the whole thing & when the light changed....he pulled him over & wrote him up. Sheesh......how bout going after the people texting & swerving all over the place or the ones putting on makeup or have their dog on their laps impeding their driving....but no.....get the kid at a complete stop!! Frustrated for him!

OMG....pantyhose....that's crazy!! I've seen the book & newspaper reading myself. They can get them on careless driving, but it's because of Derek's age...that's why. Heaven forbid you pull over grandma for talking on her cell phone while barely being able to see over her steering wheel!!

My biggest fear when Scotty rides his bike to work is a drunk on their cell phone.

I just plain old wish they'd pull more people over. I hate seeing people using their phones while driving and I see it every time I'm in my car without fail. I wont lie, I did for a while but I don't do it anymore. You see people doing stupid stuff while driving all the time. It's frustrating.

I imagine.....Mike used to like to go for long rides & it always freaked me out until he showed back up home.

The longs rides aren't as bad on me as the commute to and from work. Those are the nerve wracking rides.


The long rides generally on less populated so I don't worry as much, but he has had trouble on those too.

When I didnt have a car this past weekend and i was walking to work I couldn't believe how many cars almost hit me! I was on the sidewalk too. Like where there is a turn in for a Parking lot, instead of waiting for me to walk past cars just zoomed on in right in front of me! Three cars in a row too! And it's not like I was walking super slow either.
Some people need to have more courtesy for others who are not traveling in a vehicle.
