Any more news on those tornadoes down there Michele?

We aren't having anything weird weather wise right now, but we are getting a LOT of forest and brush fires. A town called Slave Lake got totally ruined a couple weeks ago by one. 40% burned right to the ground, including their fire station and city hall, and the rest has to be torn down cause of smoke damage. It's pretty sad. And there is another town in Saskatchewan that is surrounded and people can't get out. They could be flown out, but there is too much smoke at the moment.

I don't know what was damaged but they were saying that one had touched down in a rural area. It is so odd.

Ugh, I need to sorta vent...
so about a year ago I started getting these random dizzy, unbalanced spells. I went to the doctor and he said it really isn't too serious, just try not to make fast movements while I am having one of the dizzy spells. They will come and go. Ok, so they used to come and go a few times a day. Now, this current 'spell' I am having has been lasting all day long. Not terrible all day long, but it seems like everytime I move my head, I get dizzy. If I keep my head still all day, then I would be fine! Been like that since Monday. You know the feeling when you get off a ride, and you are a little dizzy for a minute. I have that feeling all day long. & what's frustrating is no one seems to care or take me seriously! My mom said it's sinuses, my sister said it's allergies....and it's not! :headache:What was scary was this morning, I rolled over in bed, opened my eyes, and my room was literally spinning. Like a slot machine. It was the most bizarre feeling. I was thinking of going back to the doctor, but I have a feeling he won't tell me anything new. I was trying to find out stuff online, sounds like something called BPPV.:confused3 If I wake up tomorrow with the feeling again, I will make an appointment for Friday (Thursday was booked up, and I had to work during the available times).
I just hate it! It is a very annoying feeling, and it makes me feel so miserable and in a bad mood. :sad2:

Jillian... I hope it is better but I also think you need to see the doctor and if the first one doesn't have any solutions get a second opinion. Getting dizzy like that can cause some serious issues.

Andrea, still sending lots of :goodvibes to you. Jillian, you too! I agree with Paula

Heading out for my ophthalmology appointment. I hope the treatment recommendation won't be that bad :scared:

Thank you & good luck today!!! :goodvibes

I am feeling better today....but I am ready for this week to end. Just found out someone tried to steal stuff from my mom's car last night! We have a carport type thing, so she was parked up under it and so someone came up into our yard/driveway and went through her car! Nothing was stolen, but all the CDs and papers were all messed up all over the place, the glove compartment was open and had been dug around in. I guess my dad forgot to lock the doors! :sad2: I park right next to her so I am glad my car was ok. I get home from work around 11pm and my dad gets up for work around 3, so in that amount of time someone did it. Probably some stupid kids because I am sure if it was someone who knew what they were doing, they would have found something of value in there.

So apparently it's a small benign mole on my eyelid. I had no idea you could get those there. The good news is that it's benign, the bad news is that it's so small that he thinks if they tried to shave it down :scared: it would cause eyelid deformity :scared1: Ummm, no thanks. So it's back to keeping an eye on it, to see if it starts to bother me more or gets bigger :confused3 And then, because I put on my regular glasses when I leave (I had to take out my contacts), I didn't realize I didn't have my sunglasses and left them in the office :headache: I actually jokingly posted on FB about someone picking up for me and one of my friends who lives near there actually said they would! :goodvibes They are part of our Thursday married couples group that meets tonight.

Good thing nothing was stolen, but still, it must feel like such a violation to your mom

Tania, that's good news that it was nothing too serious. Eyelid deformity! :scared1: I would say no thanks to that too. Is it really uncomfortable to you, or very noticeable? Hopefully it never turns in to anything bad.
Yay that your friend is picking up your sunglasses! :)

Tania, Glad its nothing Dangerous! Medical things get scarry sometimes!

I had to write a six page paper for school. Although we were not given too many requirements but one was a six page at the most and NO wikipedia sources. "Sources must be cited everytime information is used. 5 sources is the minimum with at least two different types of sources. Sources must be credible, NO WIKI!" <------Teachers words!

So I wrote my paper and we also had to have a min of six quotes. I had womens rights (specifically planned parenthood) and used the website quote garden to get my quotes. My teacher claimed it was not a valid source and I needed to use a data base for all quotes so although I got an A it was an A- because I wasnt given credit on the sources because of this.
Let me mind you I had ten sources. I was informed if I would have been a bad student and not included this source my teacher would have never marked me down and assumed I got it from a credible website.
I told the teachers (english and history work together) that I was frustrated because they make up rules as I go, they told me this was true but nothing was going to change. :headache:
I know it cant be changed now but whats your opinions?

Row, I can sooo relate to that situation. When I was in high school, and even college, we were given strict rules on what sources to use and not to use. Wiki was definitely one of the no-nos. Some teachers are strict on using only the databases, and other don't really check your sources. It's good that you still got an A, but the fact that your teacher only marked it down because the source was included, now that is just going against the original rules of including all sources!!
I would be mad too. But at the same time, an A is an A, + - doesn't really matter too much :)

Hello everyone! How is everyone's Thursdays going?

I am a little bummed about mine. Went to the doctor today and nothing has progressed yet. He says the baby hasn't really even dropped yet. Sigh. He says they won't let me go any more than 10 days over due, but 10 days of this seems like a life time! I have to go in on Monday for something they call a non-stress test. I just get hooked up to a monitor for 30 minutes and see how the baby is doing. Not sure if it's procedure or because my blood pressure was a little high today. :confused3

And to top it all off, my laptop is being screwy. Windows keeps failing to start. Dillon's going to fix it for me, but it's still annoying that it just randomly doesn't want to turn on. On the bright side, Dillon's Mom's boyfriend brought over his brand new $2700 Mac computer for me to play with for a few days!! It's HUGE! I love it though. Going to play some Sims 3 on it in a little bit here. It will help take my mind off things for a while.

Row - Honestly? I never would have thought to use that site as a credible source in the first place and I know my teachers never would have accepted it. It's not like it really knocked you down that much. Heck, I would only use online sources if they came up using our school's database researchers. There's just too much random stuff on the internet and most of my teachers frowned up online sources period, hence why I tried to get by without them if I could. They get even stricter about it in college.

I've been having a pretty off day. I'm having some pain/swelling in my leg that I think relates back to dehydration a little so I'm trying to drink lots of water today and it's been helping so far. Now I'm just exhausted, sigh. Other random stuff thrown into the mix as well but what can you do.

Now I'm just gonna chill and watch the Giants game.

I REALLY do not like packing.

Can I trade you then? I would give anything to be packing for Disneyland right now!

Sorry about your leg Jessica. That's scary that it swells like that. If it makes you feel any better, I have the hugest gash on mine from walking into something in the dark the other night. I really need to learn to turn on lights when I need to walk any farther than a foot.

Oh! And some more exciting news. I found a sweet Disney Vacation Package online the other day. It was $1500 for 5 nights at the Disneyland Hotel and flights for 2 adults and 3 kids. So I emailed them seeing what it would cost for that with just 2 adults. She emailed me back asking me some questions and now I just got to see what she comes back with. It would be so cool to get a good package price.

Aw, no nighttime walking Andrea. That stuff right there can be dangerous! I do the same thing. As for my leg, I'm hoping it's just the water thing. If I get enough fluids over the next few days and it still continues I'm giving my Dr. a call. I just need to actually remember to drink lots of water. I'm horrible about it, especially since I'm drinking soda again. But what happened today at work was just soooo uncomfortable and I wont make it through my overnight shift with pain like that if it happens on Saturday.

Speaking of trading little lady are you interested in anything for Mosntro?

Well, I hope that your leg goes back to normal and it's nothing serious. I am really bad at drinking water too. I always go for pop, juice, milk or gatorade instead, lol.

I am not too picky about Monstro. I could trade you the Zipper one for him. What else do you have before I decide on that one? Oh, and while we are on the subject of mailing stuff, lol. Big bags of Smarties are on sale right now. Want me to send you one with it? :)

Ooh, yummy. Those were delicious. Another box of those would be awesome! :cutie:

I've actually kind of decided I don't think I want to keep the entire Animation series so I'm tentatively offering those up as well. My list currently stands at:

Animation:
Aladdin
Alice
Dodger
Phil
Quasimodo x2
Mushu (:( sadly has a broken tail but if you're not a mint collector and are willing to glue it back on I still have it -- putting it out there just in case)
Fairy Godmother
Pinocchio (donkey)

Cutesters 2:
Donut Hole

Urban 5:
Argyle

Urban 6:
Black Zipper

Villains:
Prince John
