A vacation from the vacation.....

We are in Orlando for 14 days in March. We are taking our 21 year old niece with us on holidays. Very responsible, she actually works for my husband's company (he is the manager) she has never been any where outside of Ontario. So this is a big deal for her. She has offered my hubby and I to leave them for a day or two at the resort, and do something for ourselves. We have never left our girls, except for a quick over night, and they are 11 & 13. So what would your suggestions be, even if it took a little driving. My hubby doesn't know, and thought it might be a nice surprise for him. Our 15th Anniversary is in Sept and we both turn 40 this year..(well I already did Jan 4th) so something nice, with a little romance and a little excitement? Any suggestions?

If my wife wanted to surprise me, here's what I'd love... Head to Tampa / St. Petersburg! Hockey has started finally, and the cheapest tickets in the league are in Tampa. The Lightning have 7 home games in March, you should be able to get to one. For a nice adult afternoon out, tour the Sunken Gardens. Then get some beach time.

Deep sea fishing
Spring training (phillies, Yankees and Blue Jays)

Thanks for your thoughts!! We did the Jays last year. It wasn't the same as watching the cubbies at Wrigley, (which I did for him for our anniversary two years ago) We were going to Chicago anyhow, so I bought tickets and surprised him. Not much of a ball fan myself, but loved Wrigley! I will look at the hockey games, I think he expressed interest in the Jets. We watch the Leafs against Tampa last year, what a great game. Something to look into! Thanks
