What is your college alma mater famous for?Or who famous graduated or attended there?
My nursing school is the oldest Catholic based school in the US for RN's.
Actually we have a very well known and respected Medical school (espescially in regards to cancer and heart research.)
Our college of business is also top notch.
Our engineering school has many feats (constantly placing in solar car competition, and most recently we have used a plastic to greatly increase the processing power and storage of computers (7.0+ Ghz) and 100Terabit Drives))
Of course we have many well known football players (again that football problem)
That and if you go to Ohio State, you have a good chance landing a job because there is probably greater that 45% chance that someone high up in the company or division went to Ohio State.
It was during my sophomore year at Marshall University, in 1970, that the plane carrying the football team and many prominent supporters crashed and burned just a few miles short of the runway. There were no survivors. It was a horrible time that I will never forget .
The University of Georgia is known as the "Classic University" because it is the oldest public university in the country (got it's charter after UNC, but started teaching classes first), and it's in Athens, GA.
