A trip with 8th graders

I am going to Seaworld, Universal and Islands of Adventures with a group of 8th graders. I would like any information that would make this vacation one to remember for them. It will be about 20 boys and girls and 5 chaperones.
Your advice will be appreciated. Tell me all about the fun things.

Never been to US but as for SW The big shows are great: Shamu,
Clyde & Seamore, dolphins, and toughing the sting rays. Everything is fun @ SW for that age except the Happy Harbor play area.

We did the tour behind the scenes to the penguins..that would be very cool for them! The Atlantis roller coaster is awesome...and feeding the dolphins is always a highlight. Seaworld is awesome!

As a Florida mom I have gone to Sea World and Universal Studios as field trips any times. Basically you will have groups of 4 with each chaperone so the best advice is do what the kids want to do making sure they get a little education at the same time. <g> Plan to be in the park at opening and spend the day planned around the shows in each park.
Have you gotten group admission tickets from each park? Does each chaperone have a cell phone to use in the park to stay in touch with other groups? One thing I learned from a field trip to Typhoon Lagoon with a school group...... if you are paying for admission into park on the day you go and are using a check from the school, make sure you have someone with a school ID and that a principal or school superintendent can be reached to verify the check. LOL We stood outside Typhoon for about an hour trying to figure out how we would get into the park when they refused to take our check from the school because none of us had anything verifying we worked at the school. We ended up charging the admittance on my personal charge card and then was reimbursed when we got home.
