Hi everyone,

I want to go on a land and sea trip in September and will have my 31 month old with me then (and hubby of course, lol).
Will there be much for him to go on for rides or will he have to sit out most things? And will there be enough for his age group on the ship? The lab and such are for 3yrs+ so that would be out.

If you've tavelled with a 2-3yr old to disneyworld and/or disney cruise did they have enough to do? What about when you wanted to do grown up rides or activities, how did you handle that?

Any tips and advice on how to make this fun for us all?
Thanks!

Hi ~ First time we took ds to WDW, he was 15 months old, second time he was a little over 2 years old. He was NEVER bored! We got naps in occasionally, but he was happy just hanging out with us and doing the same things we did. Kids are TOTALLY portable! Have fun! Sandra

When it comes to the parks, we've been taking our little guys since they were 3-4 months old (Duncan was 4 months, Pierce just had his inagural trip at 3 months this January) - and while they will not remember the early first trips, they had plenty to see and do and left us with memories forever!

In terms of WDW, I suggest if you haven't already seen this Magical Beginnings site - check it out http://www.disneymagicalbeginnings.com/mb/

In terms of "grown up" rides - we've never had issues. You can do rider swap - one person lines up, the other gets a FastPass return for the anytime that same day. Duncan was very understanding on this trip (he turned 3 after we came home) - while he desperately wanted to ride Space Mountain (he's 40", not the 44" required to ride), we showed him the height requirement stick and explained it would not be safe since he could fall out the seat. If your little one understands rules, then explaining safety at Disney is no different IMO. Keep in mind there are plenty of rides and shows to keep your toddler busy, so I don't think you'll have any issues at the parks.

In terms of the cruise... We have never wanted to spend time at sea with our little guys. Figure they enjoy the parks more at this stage in their lives. Hopefully someone with more cruising experience will chime in :thumbsup2 It's Disney afterall, so I'm sure there has to be something the under 3 crowd can enjoy!!
