In need of some assistance:

I have used two different email addresses to register on disney.com as well as have ordered disney DVDs. I have yet to receive a code and have ordered DVDs for the past 4 years.

My ?: what info. do you enter when you register on disney.com regarding number of trips in the past as well as future plans for upcoming trips???

Just wondering what people have entered who are receiving the codes?

Perhaps first timers are more likely to get a code??

Any info/tips would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you
Also posted on the Code board in hopes of additional responses

have no idea, i registered to all the disney sites under my name, and order the new planning DVD everyyear, i call and check to see if anything is attached to my name/phone #. Now my DB just got a mail offer the other day. He doesn't have internet and did not register for any sites. His only contact thru Disney was when i had him added TO MY TRIP. He never did anything but come along :confused3 , so CM at Disney do say it is all random nothing extra to do. But now i might need to bring DB on my trip this fall, as the code is only good for him. STill waiting for him to bring the offer to me.

I feel your frustration...I've done everything Disney and still no code! I was told it all comes from the marketing department and if I knew who to get in touch with there I would call. You would think for all of the money I've spent at WDW over the years a small token of their appreciation could be sent my way in the form of a pin code!

Hi Riu Girl

I'm waiting for a code also--can't think of anything I've missed in signing up for,,,but so far no luck,,,,SO I'm sending this your way in hopes it comes back my way..........................................................................................

Hmm, this is just like what I got last year. A postcard with the 40% off code came in the mail. But it was my DH's name, not mine. He's never made a reservation (I always book in my own name), signed up for anything online, or done anything other than come along and be a good sport about whatever I've got planned.

Luckily he's part of the family unit so I figured it would be easy to produce him at checkin if needed... and you know, they never asked!

Pixie dust falls where it will! Hoping for all of you to get the big code this year...

I don't know that there's any rhyme or reason to it...I got one for December that was addressed to me in my maiden name, but at our current address, which we moved into nearly a year AFTER we were married.

My dad got the same one, addressed to him at his office, and he's pretty sure he's never registered any where with that address...

*shrug* dunno....

I never received a card or email, but when I called to book my trip I asked if there happened to be a code attached to my name. Lo and behold, a 20% savings! Give it a try!

We booked January 2007 for our Oct/Nov 2007, it was only our second reservation to be made for a disney property and received a 40% discount with no codes/or postcard. We ended up pay $99 us/night for the Port Orleans Riverside. Was a great great deal with no effort on my part. I think sometimes its just a matter of luck!

We did in fact receive an email for 20% off and when we called to book they told us it was 40%!! I had requested a Disney planning video from 4 different emails but only received the code to my newest email address which had never been connected to Disney in the past. My girlfriend who went with us last year received a snail mail code for 20% off about a month later at our address. When we booked last year for her we used our address but her name on the room. So I have no idea how they pick who they send to, just a random computer generated thing possibly.

Of course this year when I FINALLY receive a code, we had to cancel the trip because I am due at the same time!!! :sad2:

I received a 40% off code in January addressed to me in my maiden name. We went to WDW 4 years ago for our honeymoon (under my maiden name) and have been twice since then (under my married name). I thought maybe Disney thought I hadn't been in a few years and sent along the code to entice us to return (if the codes are random by name and not by address).
I had registered for a DVD but I can't remember the details of what I wrote when I filled the form out.
