A thank you for Beanie and Snoopy (sound)

I just wanted to take a moment and thank 2 wonderful ladies for all the time
and effort they have contributed to the DIS over the past years, first as
DIS'ers and secondly as moderators, Beanie (Tricia) (or sometimes Bean) and
Snoopy (Judi) (or sometimes Snoop).   I understand both have stepped
aside from their moderating roles here and will just enjoy the DIS like so many
others of us here, as DIS'ers.

I have had the opportunity, both at DIS meets out East and at WDW, of meeting
and sharing time with both ladies several times, along with Beanie's hubby, John, and Snoop's 2
boys, Luke and Drew.  I did get to inadvertently talk to Snoop's hubby,
John, while he was guarding the White House, a day or two after 9/11, a phone
conversation I will forever remember.  Someday I hope to meet Bean's
children, Andrew and Savannah and Snoop's DH, John, in person.

Over the years, Trish and Judi have moderated many of the boards here and we
have been able to get to know them on, Inspiration, Community, Trip Reports,
Orlando, Universal, Scrap and Crafting, Theme Park, W.I.S.H (did I miss any, you
guys have done so many, so well?).

I know Trish has been a long time Chat hostess also, writing some of the very
creative, colorful and musical Chat invitations we have seen so often.
Speaking of Chat, some of my earlier recollections of Snoop were from some of
the late night chat sessions that we both used to frequent years ago here on the
DIS. And I still do have some of Snoop's trip reports from her WDW trip in
'99, her 'discussion' of the double stroller from hell such a hoot; I printed
them out and have them still here in some pile of papers
I can 'see' the clipart Trish had for so long in her signature, the little
Beanie Baby with the bottle of Bailey's Irish Cream, and I can 'see' Snoop's tag
line saying some to the effect of 'I call it like it like I see it', and I can
tell you from personal experience, Snoop does call it as she sees it, but always a friend.

Snoop, Bean, you both have hearts of gold and are honest as the day is
long. I am happy and proud to call you friend, family. Welcome back,
we are all so very lucky <b><i><u>to have a friend in you</u></i></b>.

Rest assured, Toby's Friend, et al, I haven't been banned. I'm just tired of playing the game. I'm sure you'll continue to play it with someone else, that is if you can get over your never ending facination with me. Then again, if I were you, I'd be facinated with me too. Poor things, there isn't much going on in your lives other than people on the DIS, is there?

To my friends here, thanks for your support and friendship over the years. I hope our paths cross once again. Until then, take care, be well, fly high, be happy.

hehe- I've always enjoyed your posts, snoopy! (you too Beanie!) So now you can relax and just post! WOW! No more moderating "fights"! Sounds good to me. Why anyone would want to moderate any board amazes me. But thank you both for doing it.

Isn't it interesting how the "doe-eyed look" (think Angelina Jolie) is considered attractive, and the "deer in the headlights" is considered dumbstruck??

Anyway, snoopy, you have always been fair, reasonable and honest, and I KNOW that drives some people crazy. Too bad for them. You have posted so many fun, interesting threads that I have always enjoyed. And you certainly deserve some R and R time.

I certainly hope to continue to see you, here and there.

And you are a beautiful person, inside and out, Glamour shot or not . . .
