WE have booked a four night cruise (our first cruise ever) and it has come to our attention that we may have a potential problem.

We have a 14 & a 12 yr. old ( at time of sailing) son who hang out and socialize together ( the 12 yr old is very mature) and I'm now finding out that if they participate in any of the 'planned" on board activities and some excursions that they will be separtated due to their age differences.

Is it at all possible for the 12yr old to be with the teen group???

Thanks:confused:

Unless the 12-year-old is within one month of turning 13, they generally will NOT allow the younger one to participate in the teen programming. You can check with the Common Grounds counselors once onboard.

Enjoy your cruise!

On our last cruise my boys were 15, 11. At home they always did everthing togeather, we did worry about the seperate group activities before we went on the cruise, but once on the boat they each went their own way. They enjoyed the indepedance, and still spent lots of time togeather. The main reason for cruising this year, is that it is the only time they can go to same clubs, they are now 17,13. Don't worry they will have a blast. In fact the older one did get a little jealous about some of the activities the younger one could do that he could not, if I remember correctly only my youngest could go to the computer lab. There is so much for them to do, that you will get more alone time than you think.Enjoy you all will have the time of you life.
