A Tale of Two Crocs, or CROCers Beware...

Oh, woe, is me. I have damaged my favorite pair of Crocs...
Yesterday the poor Athens were left in my car at the dealer ship. It was a hot and sultry day... very humid, and they didn't use my window shades... The poor things were on the front seat, the R on top of the L. They overheated...and the R one is now almost 1 inch shorter then the other! I thought it was just my mind playing tricks, but no! I measured each of them ,and as punishment for my neglect of them, I guess they shrank. Sigh. So now my R foot is to small.

On the bright side, they did get re-cushy. And of course, the foot that shrank was my biggest foot. Drat.

So let that be a lesson to us all.

Never leave Crocs , children , animals or choclate in a car . Esp. on a hot day ! ( Yes, don't flame me, I realize that Children,and animals are more important then Crocs/choclate! The point is that we should take care of all precious things, or pay the price!)

I went to a flea market last weekend and they had fake crocs on top of a table. They all looked melted and warped. Also dont leave crayons.... (dont ask!)

I left my airwalk fake crocs in my car... they did not fit well at all afte that. Well I figured I had nothing to loose so i put them in the dryer for a few minutes.. They came out nice and toasty and remolded to my feet and fit better than better.

I have worn them for the last 2 days hopeing they would remold to my feet/foot... no joy. So I am going to run them in the dish washer or dryer, at this point I have nothing to lose!

And I have left crayons in a hot car...in the desert! It was 120 outside, so I don't need to ask! Can you say "Crayon Soup"? And can you image if you left crayons on your Crocs in the hot sun/car? Allthought, that could be kinda cool...esp. if you couldn't get them totally clean, like my oldest ones. Might even try that! And also I found out that Proceion Cold water dyes for fabric WILL stain your Crocs... for at least 2+ weeks!

I have done the same thing. I left my athens on the floor in the front seat of my car for the day (one of the hottest days of course). The toes of them were kind of propped up against the front part of the floor...so wouldn't you know when I went to put them on the next day, the toes were curled up and sorta "hugged" my little piggies, which was way uncomfortable. I actually just wore them a lot out in the heat and purposely let them "bake" flat in the sun on the deck, and they've almost become normal again, though they will never be the same! I'll never leave them in my car again!
