Ok, I don't know if I could have possibly made this trip more complicated if I tried. *sigh*

I have 2 rented ressies from 2 different members for the same type of room. I want to get them linked, but have to have the owners do so, is this possible w/2 diff owners? One ressie is 19-23, the second is 23-26.

Otherwise in addition to possibly having to check in/out and change rooms, I must purchase 2 separate dining plans, correct?

Also my girls' father (we're going through a divorce but getting along- like I said, this is one complicated trip) may be joining us 21-25. If I put him on the room, then he has to purchase the same amount of dining as us, correct? Does he also have to purchase the same MYW park ticket? Is it 100% essential to have him listed on the room if he isn't staying the entirety and uses his own transport?

I thought I knew my WDW stuffs like the back of my hand, and I feel like a stressed out bumbling fool right now. :guilty:

Yes, your soon to be ex must be listed on the reservations. DVC Member services is now able to do some sort of master itinerary number, so you'll only need to purchase the DDP for him for the nights he is there...at least that is the way the system is supposed to work. It is a new system, so there may be kinks. Have the DVC owners call to set this up, including linking your reservation.

With DVC, the DDP is not part of a ticket/DDP package, you can each have whatever type of park tickets you wish.

WOW Chuck! Thank you SO much for your helpful info! I didn't realize that was a possibility and will really help.

Any feedback regarding the linking of the 2 ressies from 2 different members?

Both of the owners will need to note on their reservations the other reservation number and ask for them to be linked.

One owner said she can only modify her reservations but a note was made to allow me to stay in the same room. Does this mean I still must purchase 2 DDPs?

If you link a reservation you must purchase the DDP for the entire trip which means pay for you ex for the entire trip. At least that is the way it was in Oct when we went. I rented a day from another owner because I was point poor.

However, they now can segement the reservation so this may have changed however segementing might be a lot of work for the owner and they may not want to do this for you.

The DDP for the entire stay rule was basically voided by the ability to segment the trip, which became effective with the reservation system upgrade in mid-October. But you are correct that the DVC Owners renting the reservations would need to take the time to segment the reservation properly, and link. With two owners/memberships involved you may need to purchase the DDP separately for each owner's reservation. You may also need to have the owners ask for a supervisor, as these changes are fairly recent, and many CMs are not familiar with the procedures to segment the reservations.

You will also have to work out a way to pay for the DDP plan when it is added to reservation since you have not done that yet it seems. You can no longer pay for it at check in unless it was added prior to Oct 1 or something like that.
