I just thought I'd share these two photos of Remy. One is from Les Chefs de France and the the other is from Resturant des Stars (at DLP).

My family and I were pretty surprised how different the Remy visit is in DLP compared with Les Chefs. At Les Chefs Remy goes from table to table and people are discouraged from going to him. At DLP, he sometimes went from table to table, but mostly kids seemed to get up and mob around him. The garcon had to do double duty: put on a show with Remy and keep kids from touching him (I saw several kids touch him).

We're heading to Les Chefs in December, so hopefully Remy will be back from his "vacation"!

1) At Chefs, the tables are very close to one another.
2) Also, as it appeared to me, the American kids were much more rude.
3) The parents have no problem with letting the kids act rudely.
4) Thus, other diners are disturbed with the kids running around.
. . . they bump tables
. . . they bump diners
. . . they bump food on tables
. . . they bump waiters carrying food
5) So, the rule at Chefs is to not let kids get up from their tables.
6) I think it is fully justified.

NOTE: Yes, the kids at DLP sometimes crowd the Remy cart, but they do not seem to be as rude to the other diners. When I saw kids getting out of hand at DLP, the parents frequently would scold or pull the kids back. But, with DDP at WDW, there are just so many people eating at better restaurants who do not have experience eating at better places or just do not have common courtesy.

My post was not meant to be a slam on Americans, their kids, or their parenting styles and skills - I am an American and while I don't have children I know plenty of them who are polite, courteous, and well-behaved.

I was simply making an observation about the differences between Les Chefs' and Restaurant des Stars' handling of interactions with Remy. Both systems have their benefits and drawbacks.

The main of the post was to show Remy in both restaurants because seeing him at either park were highlights of both trips.
