A Spelling Test

19 wrong! Wow!

I missed 3, and as I was taking the quiz I noticed I was pausing over words that, if I had just been writing, would have come more easily. I think having the two spellings side by side creates head games that affect even good spellers.

I think that's true, DemonLlama. There were several that caused me to pause; had I been writing them, I don't think I would've paused.

Funny thing is, when I was in 4th grade, my mother would have me check her term papers (went back to get her master's) for spelling errors. It usually went something like this:

I'd say, "This is spelled wrong..."

She'd say, "You don't even know what that word means!"

And my response: "Yeah, but I know it's spelled wrong"

Ditto! I got 21 wrong but I painted for 8 hours today. Is that a good excuse?
