A Sister & Brother Return! The Trip Report! Updated 10/31--Page 23!

I'm mostly a lurker on the DIS but as soon as I saw your title I knew I was going to have to post. You and your brother sound exactly like my sister and I, and were all about the same age, except I'm the older of her and I. It was actually her who told me about your TR.

My DSis and I were going to do our first trip to WDW by ourselves but our mom got bit by the disney bug and will be joining us. But nonetheless my DSis is totally my Disney partner in crime.

Thanks for sharing your TR. I can't wait to keep reading.

:thumbsup2 awesome 1st day

Yep and its not over yet!

Love your report! Your pics are great... can't wait to read more! :thumbsup2

Thanks! next chapter coming up later today!

Yay you started!!! Sounds like a packed morning , I bet those naps were just what you needed! I loved getting your twitters during the trip BTW, I'm gonna use it on mine!

Twitter was awesome, i tried to do it as often as I could but especially at Disney I just kept forgetting! I cant wait to see yours!

great start to your report. loved all the pics. can't wait for more.

Thanks, Scott! Next chapter coming up later today

Wow! You really did a lot in the AM. Why do you have to put your things in a locker to go onto rides?

There really seem to be a lot of rides there! I love reading about Universal. I really know nothing about it!

The hotel looks totally beautiful! I read in Lalas TR that there are speakers in the pool. No WAY!

Yep, the speakers were awesome!! I have tons of HRH pics and info i'll post, its such a great place!

You don't have to put your things in lockers for all rides, just some. In Universal you can't bring any bags into The Mummy or men in black--i'm not sure why maybe because the carts you sit in are so open and you can lose what you have?

Great start so far. We went on The Mummy at Universal Hollywood, I was not impressed, but then I had my eyes closed the entire time.;)

Aw, that stinks you didn't like it! I think the one in Hollywood is a little bit different, but i'm not sure how much. There are a lot of cool things to look at with your eyes open!

Oh, awesome! Glad to see there are more DSiblings out there :rotfl: I'm sure you'll have a blast even with your mom there, when are you going?

I am honored! Can't wait to hear all about the details of your trip!

So we awoke from our nap at around 5:30, and walked down to the boat dock. Our plans were to see how long the wait was for Margaritvalle, because Davids a huge jimmy buffet fan, but we had Bubba Gump Shrimp priority seating for 6 just in case. When we got to the boat dock I realized I forgot the passes for the parks and we had plans to go back to universal after dinner to see the Universal 360 show (fireworks) so we would have to come back to HRH later to get them.

Here are some more HRH photos what a beautiful place!

Off the boat dock...

IMG_4122.jpg

On to Margaritaville!

IMG_4123.jpg

The girl at the podium said it would be 15 minutes for a pager and than about another 15 minutes after that--we thought that sounded good so we headed into the gift shop and played around a bit

IMG_4124.jpg

David was in heaven he loves jimmy buffet and searched the entire time for the t-shirt he wanted

IMG_4125.jpg

He finally picked one out and we headed back out for our pager. While waiting I got a drink, which David pleaded for a sip of...I let him try it but that was all.

IMG_4131.jpg

We only waited about 5 minutes after that so I brought my drink in, and we got a nice table near the volcano! Its a volcano that spills out margarita! :rotfl: It was a fun presentation they had.

David ordered the cheeseburger in paradise :rotfl: I had cocounut shrimp. Both were really good, although davids fries were a little spicy.

I like pickles...

IMG_4146.jpg

We decided to walk back to the HRH to get the tickets. We walked accross the bridge to Universal and you can see it in the background

IMG_4149.jpg

Into the pool area...

IMG_4151.jpg

IMG_4152.jpg

And back out to the universal gates!

IMG_4153.jpg

We walked around leisurely just deciding what to do as we went along. We went on the mummy again (crowds had thinned out by now) When we walked back to Amityville, we played a few carnival games

IMG_4157.jpg

IMG_4158.jpg

We lost.

Went on Men in Black and i kicked butt again!

Simpsons again...90 minute standby, 10 minute express! woo!

IMG_4159.jpg

IMG_4162.jpg

On the way out, since I had no idea what to expect with this show (I didnt even know it was happening until that afternoon!) I asked a team member where the best spot was. With her advice in mind, we stopped for a few snacks and than walked back to where she said was a good spot. We actually found a table to sit at!

IMG_4173.jpg

About 45 minutes the show started...I only took this one photo and the rest video...here is a link to a video of it on youtube, its not mine but it helps you get the idea if youre interested. click here

Any fireworks/laser show on water is going to be compared to illuminations with us and this one is no different. And it was just okay. I wouldn't purposely sit through it again. They displayed some cool movies on the globes in the water (think great movie ride finale) and the fireworks added a cool element, but it was just okay for me

epic fail.

So we closed the park and walked out and went for a little nightswimming and mozarella sticks at HRH! That was a lot of fun, the HRH pool is so cool with its waterslide and underwater music! More from the pool tomorrow!

That concludes our first night!

Now I'm hungry and I want a magarita! I love David's thoughts about the fireworks. :lmao: Very eloquent!

popcorn::
I can't wait for more of David's thoughts!
Awesome TR!!!

I like David's review of Universal 360.

I've read and I am all caught up! What a great start to your trip! HRH does look gorgeous! I am with Michelle -- I am hungry and in the mood for a drink! :thumbsup2

sounds like a great first day. great pics. that drink looked delicious.

Hey guys. It was great to meet you both and I am looking forward to reading all the details. The first days sounds great and I love the "davids thoughts" sections. Great idea! :thumbsup2

I just heard on the news that southern Florida had bad storms. I hope you guys didn't have any damage at your house.

After reading the whole post (and enjoying it) my main thought was "Nicole sure loves mozzarella sticks". :lmao: I ahve issues, I know. Sounds like a great day tho! I def think having David's thoughts in there is awesome, what ever happened to his DIS name?

Oh, awesome! Glad to see there are more DSiblings out there :rotfl: I'm sure you'll have a blast even with your mom there, when are you going?

We are actually leaving in less than 2 weeks:banana:

HRH looks really nice!

And if I counted correctly, that's 3 times on Simpsons. I really can't wait to check out this ride here at Universal Hollywood.

Though that Margaritaville is a bit tempting! The shrimp looks delicious.
