A Simple Guide to Making an Autograph Book

Hey MusicMouse,

It's Greg Johnson again and I truly wanted to thank you again for making my 4 Autograph photos....Greg, Mary, Domani and Giana, thank you so much for all that you have done for us and everyone on DISboards. I do have one more request, is there any way that you can make, " JOHNSON FAMILY AUTOGRAPH 2011" also, Joann, Francis and Danny Autographs 2011 and "WHITE FAMILY AUTOGRAPH 2011 photos, please, if it's not too much trouble. We love the ones you already made and we will use them in August. I also just ordered my copies from Artscow, can't wait for them to get here, so I can go and them binded. I will print out the rest my self, if you do them for me. Once again thank you so much for all the hard, excellent work that you do. Greg Johnson

I make the picture big then right click "save as" it goes into my pictures...ok so how do I adjust the sizes to then be uploaded to be printed at like Walmart/Costco/Snapfish...? I just don't "get it"? sorry feeling REALLY dumb.

Do you have a Photobucket account? That truly helps, you click on it, to make the size you want. Or if you go to Artscow, they can determine how to make it fit, not promoting Artscow, but I just ordered all of my 292 photos and it only cost me $13. Try it out, it may just work, if not there will be other people who can come on and show you how. Hope you enjoy the posts and good luck with your photos. Have a Magical Day.

so let me see if I got this straight....in photobucket I click on the image to make it full size, right click "save as" in my pics on my computer log onto Artscow upload images from my computer, no size adjustment whatsoever and they will all print at an accurate 4x6 with nothing cut off? I just want to make sure that I am doing it right before I order them all.

If it makes you feel any better, you probably really would have enjoyed my cussing fits the other night fighting my computer over printing images b/c I was too stubborn to ask. There are no stupid questions, just stupid computers LOL.

The directions at the beginning of the thread worked perfect for MusicMouse's AWESOME
SWW autograph cover & DOM13 SW autograph pages (copy to pictures, then cut & paste into MS Word). I tried to load images into shutterfly & mixbook, but I could not size things the way I wanted w/o compromising clarity. I also had a knock down drag out battle w/bubble designs! Not pretty, but I finally got them to work

Thanks to the poster for the tip on joining Photobucket in order to size images!!! Being new to printing DISigns, I appreciate the tips!

Just wanted to let you know you aren't the only one having newbie
troubles but once you get it, the DISigns are super cute & totally worth it! Hats off to the talented DISigners

Hi! It looks like I missed a whole series, here. OK, you don't have to put the images in MS Word if you are loading them to Artscow. If you have all the images you want in one place, go to Artscow and sign up (if you haven't done that yet) or log in. Then go to the left-hand side and click on "My Album". Click on the "New Album" button and follow the directions to upload all of your images. When you finish uploading, you can select the folder you put them in and order all of the images in the folder in whatever size pictures you would like (I would suggest 4x6). Try it this far and let me know if it works for you. I'll be back after I get the kids to bed.

ok signed up for Artscow. I am in the process of uploading all the photos-how do you get it to upload several at a time-I did download the *********** thingy (LOL) but when I open my picture folder on my computer how do i select more than one...sounds like a stupid question....also when I saved the images from photobucket did i need to download them or is "save as" just fine? If I order 4x6 would they give me enough room to bind them later or no? would i have to attch them to cardstock or something to get the additional inches needed for binding? so many questions.....thanks everyone!

OK, click on the "Multi File Uploader" in Artscow, go into the folder on your computer that has your card images in it, and to select multiple files click on the first image, hold down your shift key, and then click on the last image. This should select all of them for uploading. You can also do select multiple files by clicking on individual pictures while holding down the control key. You can also select them one at a time for uploading, but it takes a long time. The "save as" versions of your images should be fine, no need to download anything else. Finally, 4x6 should be big enough to bind. The binding only takes up about 1/2 inch if you bind them at the top. You don't need to attatch them to cardstock, the photo paper is stiff enough without it. Keep at it mssajane - you can do this!

I did the Johnson Family in Natalie's cover to match the ones that I already did for your group, and I did the White family in my new cover design. If you want them all to match, I can redo the new ones in Natalie's cover. It's no trouble. I hope you all have a great time on your vacation!

This will be our first trip (July 2011) to disney so if we can incorporate that on them somehow that would be great.. I would like both inside and outside covers for all books..

Hello MusicMouse, it's Greg again, I've tried to download the ones you already did for me ( Domani, Giana, Greg, Mary ) but they seem to be too elongated. I even went back to Photobucket to try to re-download them again and it still seems that way . Could you do another set , so I can see if it's still the same way. The others came out perfect ,but it just seems as though the ones you did with our names on it are too long . I thank you again for all the hard work that you do and possibly the enjoyment that you have to do it all for everyone here on DISboards . So please, can you try it again

I have two covers that I personalize here. They are both in Post#955. If you want one of those, I will be happy to personalize it for you, but if you want something more individualized I would suggest that you start a new request thread on the main Creative DISign board. You might also want to browse through the photobuckets of the DISigners here - there are a lot of fabulous designs to choose from!
