I swear, ever since we hit the double digits, all I want to do is jump around and party! It's starting to affect my life off the Dis:lmao:

I start my first term as a Catechist next week and all I want to do is tell these kids about my Disney trip!:rotfl: Hmm, let's see, how can I show the similarity between Disney & the Catholic church:confused3 .

That's it! I can hear the party now.

If you like that one, how's this?

You rock!

Oh, I understand! It's so exciting being in the double digits. Soon, we'll be less than three months away. I can hardly believe it.

Hmmm. . .similarity between Disney and the Catholic church? Well, I'm Protestant, so I don't know how much help I can be there. But, if you come up with one, let me know. It's great when you can relate Disney to everything else. . .spread the Disney love!

- Head back home

So, there it is. I would hope there will be no more changes to the itinerary, since we have changed resorts and now changed a number of our dining, as a result. But, stay tuned. There's still several months to go! :cool1:

Catching up here ... finally ...

Just a word of caution with you ADRs: you're doing a lot of park hopping just about every day for the restaurants ... you may end up spending a lot of time on buses ...

And since we're eating at a bunch of the same places - I'll try to let you know if there are any "disasters" ... (I don't there will be any ... :3dglasses ...)

On to the next page ... :surfweb:

:confused3 Any thoughts on how we should best utilize our first day? :confused3

Go visit AKL ... ?? :lmao:

Seriously - "hop" around the various resorts checking out the Christmas decorations, shopping, grazing, etc. ... :santa:

Another off-site option I heard is great is the "ICE" festival (I think that's what it's called ...) at the Gaylord Palms resort ...

A while back we pre-ordered a Disney Christmas Tree. It's not an actual tree. It's one of those collectible things. On Friday, when I arrived home from work, it was on my doorstep waiting for me!!! :woohoo:

I haven't taken any pics of it, yet, with my camera. But, here is what the pic of it from the website of the company. BTW, it plays all sorts of Christmas music, the Santa and reindeer rotate around the top and parts of it light up from within.

Isn't it cute? It will always remind me of my Christmas trips at WDW! :santa:

I was gonna buy the same thing!! ... then the DW said "No Way!" ... :sad2:

... maybe next year ... ;)

I "missed" the double-digit dance party ...

but single digit week "let's go crazy" party is coming up fast ...

 :dance3: :woohoo: :cheer2: :jumping1: :upsidedow :rainbow: :jumping2: :goofy: ...:rotfl2:

... all caught up now ...

:welcome: Welcome back! I'm glad you're plugging along, trying to catch up. Slow day? Seriously though, welcome back.

As for park hopping, we've done enough trips to know it works for us. Often, we take a break mid-day anyway, typically returning to the resort. But, you may notice that most days the way to go from one location to another is relatively easy, either by monorail or boat. With just the two of us, we're quick movers. ;)

At this point, we think we're just going to visit DTD. We thought about checking out the resorts that day, and we may still do that, but I really don't want to see the MK before I get to visit it.

However, we haven't gotten our plane tickets yet and the flights we're looking at may get us there quite early, in which case we may be visiting the MK after all. If we decide to do that, it will most likely be a last minute decision and we'll just make the ticket purchase at the resort at check-in.

Good suggestions, though.

She said, "No Way!"? That's crazy talk. :rotfl: Ah, well. Maybe next year, as you said. It's a really nice piece.

Oh, no. . .you didn't miss the party! It's still going on! ;thanks: Thanks for joining us! It's a lot of fun.

I've had a sore throat since yesterday, which stinks. Every year, when the weather begins its changes, this happens. It made for a long night, which culminated with me sleeping in late today. I'm hoping to feel better soon. As you ccan imagine, teaching requires a lot of use of my voice, :teacher: so I hope to be relieved of this sore throat soon.

I can't believe that we're now 93 days away! I can't wait to go. We keep talking about which clothes we should take with us, even though we really can't know for sure till we get closer. It's still fun to talk about, though. We've gone through the phase of discussing that we hardly bring any clothes and just buy when we get there, since we always buy WDW shirts on vacation. We've gone through, let's bring summer type clothes, let's bring winter type clothes, let's bring a combination, and of course, do we bring jackets or coats? Crazy. . .I know.

We even looked at the Disney shopping website and saw some items that we liked and thought about getting for the trip, but then we decided not to do that, since shopping at the parks and DTD is so much fun. Aw, man! We still have how much time left? We're starting to go nuts! :rotfl2:

Have you all seen the new theme for 2009? I think it's awesome! :woohoo:

They are doing tours in 30 cities, leading up to it. Here's all the information: http://www.wdwinfo.com/Disney2009Celebration.htm#birthday

This link has all the information about the celebration: http://www.disneyparkscelebrations.com/default.aspx

You just have to check out the preview to their official commercial for the new celebration. It's so cute! It totally makes you want to go back.: http://disneyparks.disney.go.com/disneyparks/en_US/WhatWillYouCelebrate/index?name=CelebrationVideoPage#DPCelebration1VideoItem

My DH and I are really hoping that they begin immediately on January 1st, since we'll be there. How cool would it be to celebrate our anniversary, Christmas, New Year's and the 2009 Celebrations hoopla?! We don't leave till January 3rd, so throw some pixie dust :tinker: our way. You never know!

Aww, I'm sorry about your throat. Last year I had a really really bad cold/cough that lasted for atleast 3 weeks. And of course that was during the time when I was starting to take over teaching everything during student teaching. It was not fun. :sad2:

I looooooove the celebration theme so much! It actually made me start thinking how I wish we were going later (like the time we were there last year) so we'd be there when it started. Oh well, guess that just means we need to plan another trip! I wish they'd say more about the tour because they are coming here in less than 2 weeks and I'd like to go. :confused3 Really I just want one of those adorable Mickey balloons. :p

Wow... already thinking about packing at 90 days out. You've got it bad! ;) Me too. Since you're a seasoned Dec visitor any insight into what the weather is like?

Sorry about your throat... feel better! :wizard:

One thing that can almost always be counted on, at least for me, is that changes in weather coupled with being around kids for much of my day, will result in getting sick. Happens every year.

I would love to know more, too. Two of the cities they are coming to are within driving distance, and they'll be arriving in October. I'd love to know more, too. Let me know if you get anymore info.

Thanks. Oh, I definitely got it bad. As for weather, we spoke to a lot of locals last year and they all agreed that December is one of the most unpredictable months. It can shift quite a bit. Case in point, the weather was mild before we arrived, but normal. Then, during our stay, it was like summer! The day after we left, it got so cold that it actually snowed in Orlando! So, the only advice I can give is to begin watching the weather forecast as you get closer to leaving and prepare for both warm and cold temps. The weather is hard to prepare for, but WDW during this time of the year cannot be beat! Absolutely breath taking!!! :santa:
