He’s had a stroke. It’s why his press conferences are never more than 5 minutes long, he always has some doctors in tow and his hands shake so much. Not beyond the realms of possibility.

It has been reported that he has had a doctor close by since before he invaded Ukraine. It is very much possible that he feels his mortality and that is why he is doing what he is doing. Tyrannical regimes tend to work that way. Just look at Venecuela, China, North Korea, Cuba. The list goes on...

I also don't get it. Everyone understands that he is insane and that the war was started because of his ambition. But why do russians support and follow him?

Whatever has happened with his health, he appears to me to be on steroids as he's developed some of the side effects....particularly the shape of his face.

Right. I don't think he has the support he claims to have, but considering what happens to those who don't support him, I think a lot of folks just stay quiet. It's unfortunate.

Many rumors for the last year.
The one that seems to be able to proven by pictures
is that he has at least 2 body doubles.
They look remarkably alike but one has chubbier cheeks.
The ears are the "tell" and unless the pics have been doctored
I would agree they are different men.
I would not want to be a body double for him, though,
for the same reasons posited here for those who oppose him.
How would they ever keep the doubles quiet after Putin dies?
