to be tagging along.

Long story short, our 10th wedding anniversary fell two weeks before we had our 3rd child. So, we couldn't go anywhere (and I was as big as a house and couldn't reallt fit into anything nice).

Fast forward, four months later, and we are going to Disney in August and we are celebrating our 10 year there. We just happen to have these three pesky kids along for the ride :rotfl2:. We are staying at AKLV and BWV. Any good 10th anniversary ideas? I have booked a dinner at shulas and am taking the kids to the child care center there. The baby will stay with my sister. Any nice ideas, that are kinda romantic but also could involved three small kids? :grouphug:

Like, can I take them to Citricos? Are there some lounge areas of nice places that are more casual that the kids can go? Any other ideas?

I don't know about romantic, but Boma is one of my fav places and it's kid friendly!

What about a Wishes or Illuminations cruise? I haven't done one, but it seems like they would be romantic!

POR (or maybe it is POFQ) offers carriage rides that would be fun!

hahaha When I read the title of this post I thought.... "I don't remember posting that, but that's us!"

We are celebrating our 10th Anniversary at Disney with our 3 kids (8, 6 & 3) for a week in September :)

We are doing Ohana's for our anniversary dinner. We went to Hawaii for our honeymoon so I'm trying to get that "feeling" back, well as best as possible with 3 kids with us

barbarabini I want to say Congratulations on your 10th Anniversary, and get used to tag along, we celebrated our 36th at disney a few years ago and had my daughter, son in law and three grandchildren. LOL
I like the tag along, but my husband would love for it to be just me!
After dining when you have the kids at the child care center, take a walk on the beach at resort before you pick them up.

I'd suggest taking advantage of the Neverland Club (for the older children) and a in room sitting service for the younger child (or for all 3). Take a few hours (and yes, it may be $$ but worth it) just to enjoy the time with your husband. You could take the monorail to GF or Contemporary and have a nice meal and still be 'close' to the Poly 'just in case' (if you are anything like me and always worrying!)

Have fun and congratulations!

After dinner at Ohana's, go to the beach and watch the fireworks while the kids play in the sand. Walking around the Poly at night is romantic in itself. Music and tiki torches...:cloud9:

Have the older children pick out 3 oysters at Pick a Pearl in Epcot and have DH put them into a setting.

Get a carriage ride.

Put the youngsters to bed and split a bottle of wine that you buy in Epcot.

I have twin sons (10) and a younger brother (6). They almost always travel with us and we have to find ways to make some romance happen:rotfl:

Congrats on 10 years and enjoy!

I don't have any great ideas, but we're almost like you ... child #3 was born 6 days before our anniversary, so no big 10th anniversary trip for us. We did take an "11th anniversary" cruise the next year instead.

Congrats on your 10 years!!!

My wife and I made 11 this year. Last year I bought her an anniversary band. We had dinner at CRT and I made my daughter tell my wife she had to go to the bathroom right before dessert came. While she was gone I put the ring atop her dessert and when she returned....:yay:

Congratulations on your anniversary. DW and I are getting ready to celebrate ours next November and are preparing for the same things (well, except for the brand new baby part :rotfl2:).

It sounds like you've already embraced Ohana to incorporate the Hawaiian elements, and I strongly endorse that. Like most people, apparently, we honeymooned in Hawaii and it's a great link back! Watching the fireworks from the beach afterward is a romantic ending that also conveniently avoids the chaos of leaving MK with a brand new baby and tens of thousands of other people.

For your anniversary dinner, Shula's sounds wonderful, but if you like seafood I also suggest you check out bluezoo. It's very romantic, pretty quiet, and has, in my opinion, the best seafood in WDW.

Make sure to set aside time to enjoy the buskers on the Boardwalk. What I assumed would be a silly thing to walk past became perhaps our favorite part of the trip and a wonderful way to wind down each day. DD5 still talks about "her busker", who brought her into the show, and they are all just wonderful for both kids and adults. There is a certain amount of romance, standing on the BW in the setting sun, with your loved ones all around, watching some good-natured street performers.

Most importantly, have fun! What a great way to celebrate your life together!!!

we went to hawaii too.. that ohana's is a great idea.

The Spirit of Aloha Dinner Show might bring back your honeymoon memories too! Ohana's is nice, but they entertain children at dinner by playing the limbo and having coconut races. Nothing spoils romance like getting hit in the head with a broom, by a little tike trying to win the race!!

We celebrated our 10 yr anniversary with our three kids at WDW. My youngest was to young for the kid's club so we celebrated family style:lovestruc
We had tea at the GF. I got everyone a special treat from the bakery. Later on that evening we all went to the Spirit of Aloha Luau for dinner. It was a magical day for all of us.
Have a great time celebrating!

We are planning on celebrating 10 yrs together in September and plan on eating at Yachtsman. We have the ressie for 4 (as our 4 yr olds will be in tow), but we may change it out for a ressie for 2 and have Kid's Nite Out come and watch them or stick them in a kid's care center (that is if my son, that is developmentally delayed, will ever completely potty train :rolleyes1).

We went on a family Disney trip for our 10th too. We did DCL so we were able to grab some alone time as well, but I just wanted to chime in that I think family anniversary trips are very romantic - just in a different way!

On our honeymoon (also WDW) we dreamed of bringing kids to WDW someday. We live across the country and travel on a budget so the 10th anniversary trip was it! We're now going with teenagers for our 20th, and hope to go every 10 years with everyone - hopefully grandkids etc. I consider living our dream and celebrating the family we have together to be very romantic!
