A Rite Of Passage For My DS Tonight

Tonight there is a significant rite of passage for my DS going on right now. My DH just sat down to introduce DS to what my DH considers one of the most important movie series of all time.....Star Wars!

My DH has dreamed of this evening for many years and I only hope that DS likes the movie (they are watching Episode I) as much as DH hopes he will.

So in honor of my DS and my DH all I have to say is: .

We were very fortunate to have the Star Wars Trilogy on laserdisc, so when the time came, the boys were able to see those movies. (and then when the DVD's came out, I was a little freaked at the change at the end of "Return of the Jedi")

The Buzz and Woody toys were rapidly supplanted by all things Star Wars, and it probably will never stop!

DS's very first movie in a movie theatre, at the tender age of 3, was Star Wars Episode 1: The Phantom Menace. DH, the ultimate SW fan, was soooo excited about taking him to see it! DS was entranced for more than half the film, but then fell asleep. He loved what he saw and now, at age 9 (almost 10), he adores all the movies and watches them quite often!!!!

I hope your DH is as successful w/your DS!!!! May the force be with them!

I remember watching Star Wars for the first time with my DDs. I debated but decided to show the girls the movies in the same order that I saw them so we started with A New Hope. It must have worked because oldest DD was Princess Leia for Halloween at MNSSHP last year!

I remember sitting in the movie theater when it first was released watching it over and over. I think I sat threw like 4 showings in one day.
