A Rhyming War for Fluff Day or any other day for that matter

A challenge to all I do issue,
if you can't rhyme, get out the tissue,
for if this thread finds a life,
this war will not be a strife,
CC and Chip are not the only poets,
Dream and I are better, and they know it.

The tissues you'll need for when you cry,
laughing so hard, your eyes you'll dry.
Come now Cathy, Jodie, and Chip,
don't make me have to crack the whip,
A rhyming war is what we need,
and in this I promise, I will succeed.

So get out your pens and your thesaurus,
come out and play, see if you can beat this Taurus!

are you afraid you've already lost?
Don't be blaming it on dinner,
Are you conceding and making me the winner?

She must really be a wreck,
To bail out of a rhyme competition

She is usually game
To claim all the fame
Or be knocked from her Rhyme Queen position!!!

Yes, Cathy, can you believe?
I really thought my eyes deceive.
That Chip would bail from a rhyming contest,
it really had me quite distressed!
Worse though, (and this makes me want to scream...)
is that nowhere to be found is our dear Dream!

For our Jodie, so it seems,
likes to wake her children from their dreams,
with poetry and rhyming verse,
those kids get up 'fore it get worse!
Because you know, this is the thing,
if verse won't do it, then she'll sing!!!

Yep, they're chicken, doncha know it,
you and I are the only poets.
I'm stopping now, this rhyming verse,
before my poems get any worse!

Does rhyming have to be just fluff?
Cause of our rhyme's there's never enough!

For to work tomorrow I have to go
Just returned from a game of baseball
And here I find a challenge...a call...

You want to see how many can rhyme
It has to be quick, I do not have much time
The hour now is growing very late
