A review of Sci-Fi Dine In Theatre

This is another place that is ALWAYS on my list of musts! The food is really good but the theme is the best part. Love watching the movie screen, feeling like I'm in a drive in. I don't miss it when I go. They have an amazing Rueben Sandwich.

Thanks for the review! We will be there for the first time this September! I've heard some bad reviews, but hey, with a burger, some fries, and some cheesy movies, it sounds like we're going to have a great time! :thumbsup2

we ate at Sci-Fi between Christmas/NY for dinner...it was *bad*! The onion rings were soggy and the ribs and steak were extremely tough. The server was fine and paid attention to the kids. The wait was like 45+ minutes with ADRs. The clips got annoying after the second time through (yes, were were there a long time). The only good part was the dessert. Now in all fairness, reviews for lunch (especially the burgers) see to be so much better!

That is the one Disney restaurant I will never return to.
It took over an hour to get our food. There were 4 or 5 other tables TOTAL in the restaurant.
Our milkshakes arrived melted. The food came ICE cold, and the ribs were inedible.
The server was not friendly, on the rare occasion when he sauntered over to us.
It was a BAD experience. And the movies got annoying after the third time, too!

Just ate there on Feb 10. Not thrilled with it. Only had one of our kids with us (others were in college and couldn't make it). Youngest dd (15), did not like sitting alone, so dh and I had to split up so one of us would be next to her and you don't face eachother in the cars. It was fine.

While dh and I both had the ribs and dd had linguini with shrimp----all pretty good--- ribs fell right off the bone. But our server must have been new. There was no camping' it up as we have had with past servers---you know, joking around and all. In fact, this server spilled cherry coke all over dh's foot/leg. Handed dh a big pile of napkins to clean himself up.....and did a lousy job of cleaning the floor right by my dh's seat. So when my husband needed to use the restroom, he sort of had to jump over the small puddle of soda on the floor right in front of him that was left there the remainder of our meal.

Then, 5 minutes into our meal, they sat 3 older teens or early 20-something's behind us in our car. There were other open cars so I didn't get this at all and it was late (like 8 pm). We were the last ADR of the night. So we got to listen to them the whole dinner laughing, gossiping, texting etc.

Not my best experience. There was server a few cars away who was really interacting with his guests. They were laughing and having a good time. And were just sitting there....kind of blah. Friends of ours, were dining at the exact same time at Prime Time. They had a similar experience with "blah" CM server. She said that was the second let-down experience in a row at Prime Time and she wasn't sure if she'd eat there again.

But I do thank you for taking the time to review and share your experiences via the link. Glad u enjoyed your visit. :thumbsup2
