First of all, we have DSL. For the past few weeks, everytime I go to Outlook Express the computer takes it upon itself to kick me off of DSL and try to put me on dial-up. A window pops up saying it is connecting, and if you hit "connect" it puts you right back into DSL. It is more annoying than anything else. You can be in the middle of typing an email, and it just stops allowing you to type until you hit connect again because you are suddenly offline.
The problem is, it also takes me off "unavailable" on Yahoo Messenger and automatically puts me on "available". Then, when you try to log into messenger to change it, it won't even allow you to log on since it considers you "offline". It is a real pain in the backside, and I don't even know where to begin to fix this. Is it a DSL problem, or a Microsoft problem? A virus?
Does this even make sense to anyone? Any ideas?
