A REAL haunting.........

in this day and age of technology, how has someone not grabbed their cell phone and taped something, captured a pic of the blood on the wall, etc.

ALL the people who could be in that area cannot be involved in a cover-up.

this isn't to say I don't believe it - who's to say what happens to us after we die... but since this is on-going, tell your sis to get come videos or pics of something.

probably because working in a hospital we were not supposed to have cameras on the floor. privacy and all.
not saying no one has a cell phone camera on the floor, i am sure they do, but I think someone could definitely lose their job if they took a pic or vid and got caught

True, but the thing that gets me is the OP said no one knows because her sister (and all the other staff) have been told not to make it public. Yet here she is, posting it on a message board with hundreds of thousands of users.

I don't buy it.

My house we first lived in had a ghost in it. My Dh used to think I was going crazy...I used to hear heavy foot steps (like work boots) walking down the hall when I was the only one there. Finally one day he heard the foot steps too. My dog used to play ball in the house and would run like crazy to get it and bring it back but if we ever threw it near one certain wall she would always stop dead in her tracks to look at and smell the wall. She had to stand on her "tippy toes". This all continued until we had a 500 year flood and had to tear out all the walls, etc. We never heard the foot steps again.
Another house in the neighborhood was up for sale by the children of the owners (the [arents had died years before). It was a great house but it never sold. The real estate person was perplexed because of the number of people that wanted to get in the neighborhood. No one even asked for the price to be lowered. One person finally told the daughter that when she walked into the bedroom to look a voice told her to "get out of MY house". After the flood it also had to be refurbished like our house and once it was completed it sold very quickly and that family never heard any voices...we asked.

I think something so active would be impossible to keep under wraps simply by threat of being fired. I'm guessing being fired would be a relief. Perhaps there is a threat of being sued, maybe over the privacy issues mentioned. As for the haunting, I believe it's possible just about anywhere for a variety of reasons. Ghost Hunters catches a lot of paranormal activity at hospitals, but they only investigate those that have been closed. I'm sure they would investigate this hospital, but that would require a whole lot of cooperation from the hospital administration, which is not likely.

This one sounds a bit over the top but who knows? I've heard a few odd things from people who work in hospitals but nothing quite as intense as this. Lots of people die in these places so if you believe in an afterlife again who knows?

lots of people in the hospital know about it. my mom works in the same hospital, different department, and the people she has contact with are talking about it too. it's just that no one has gone to the media i guess. :confused3
my sister wants to make a call, but our mom (who works more with management/administration) warned her that the hospital wouldn't like it if she did it....plus there's no way the hospital would allow some tv crew in to "investigate"!!!!
i'm gonna google and see if i can find a number to call myself.

How would the hospital know if she called? How would they know if she took a picture? You kind of had me going untiil I got to the "bleeding walls" part. :rolleyes1

Who you gonna call? Ghost Busters! :dance3:

Now I've got that tune stuck in my head.

I knew I should not have read this thread....... I'm going in for surgery today. :scared1:

I don't know if I should be embarrassed or not, but I got goosebumps reading your post ;)

I do believe in hauntings and similar subjects. I can understand where the OP mentions the hospital doesn't want bad press. One of my close friends moved back to my hometown last year and took a job as a legal assistant. The office she works at used to be apart of hospital. In the early 90's a new hospital was built and the old hospital was turned into a clinic on one side and the other side was divided and remodeled into office spaces. Soon after my friend started her job the lawyer that she works for and the other assistant told her not to be freaked out if she ever hears or sees anything weird. A few days later my friend was by herself in the office while her boss and the other employee were out. She heard crying sounds and looked around the office even looked outside. She told the others in the office about what happened and they told that the crying sounds had happening for a few years now and that people in the other office spaces have heard them too. People working in the offices feel that the area will always be haunted. My friend hasn't had any another encounters or heard anything weird since then.

they have all been told not to make all this stuff public. my sister wants to call one of those paranormal tv shows or the news but she's afraid of losing her job. the hospital doesn't want the negative press......

but yet you just told a million people on a disney site. :thumbsup2 hee hee

But I do believe there are spirits here.

When my oldest DD was 3 or 4, we lived at the US military Academy in NY.

We would take walks every evening and one of the quickest ways to get home was through the cemetery.

When you would enter, the temp would drop 10 degrees. Granted, it was lower than street level and there was always a breeze, it was eerie. Well, one night in July we stopped because the lightning bugs were everywhere, and my DD wanted to "catch the falling stars".

She went a little ways off, and I was playing with my younger DD in her stroller with a bug.

My older DD came back over with some flowers in her hand, like a bouquet.
Our conversation, and I remember is 8 years later:
Me: "J, where did you get those?"
DD: "Over there." She points behind her to some plots next to a stone wall.
Me: "J, you need to put those back. Those belong to somebody."
DD: "But she said I could have them!" she was really upset that I told her she couldn't have them.
Me: "Who told you that?" We were the only ones there.
DD: "That little girl over there." She pointed back at the wall.

I was really freaked out, so I told her to show me where, and we would put them back. She walked directly over to one particular grave and set them back down. The grave belonged to a little girl that had died in the late 1700's. And beside the headstone, was the wildflower plant - minus all the flowers that my DD had picked.

That is kind of where I stand too. I could believe all of it, and then came the bleeding walls part.
