PLEASE be careful driving in the middle of the night (and stopping at those rest stops) and don't forget that Krystal Burgers are good for breakfast. Oh, and PLEASE get some R&R - you're almost on vacation

We never did stop at Krystal burgers, but I just know you will

What kook said!!!! Well I've never heard of Krystal Burgers but I'm sure they are delish!!!

The family is now in love with Hardee's, we must of eaten there at least 5 times

But YAY for Jeanette being on vacation!!!

It really was the perfect trip, despite some bumps...we have one more lazy day tomorrow, we may just do a museum..not really sure yet

KOOK - hubby drooled when I showed him the White Castle burgers. It is seriously our first stop everyone we go to NY, get off the plane, get the rental car, go straight to White Castle, LOL!!!

White Castles are yummy! Sorry for the lack of updates, Brian left his cell home, so I didn't do much texting/or live pics..I am so bad with that..despite my best intentions.

I waved I waved!!! I thought of you as we passed Pooler, and Brian was like WE JUST ATE We could've did food, he was on a roll

Oh, no! Sounds like someone may have gotten on 295 or 395? It's pretty all lit up at night though

We always wind up doing the wrong thing in that area..GPS and all, I have no idea, I think it was 395 then 295 or reverse order. I know I saw the Pentagon and Jefferson memorial if that helps paint my picture...we can't get it right, that's why I never sleep until we are past Washington!

I finally found this trip report - just in time!!!!

Jeanette - drive safely! I can't wait to hear live reports!!! We haven't done universal yet but I know my kids would love it because they LOVE LOVE LOVE roller coasters. Dh said no Disney, but he didn't say no Orlando...... bwahahahahahahah

Universal is a budget friendly resort...I mean food is expensive, but tickets and hotel are cheaper than WDW at least

WOOHOO! Free OJ and grapefruit juice here I come in 12 days

Love the free OJ! Brian was not happy because I made him stop at the GA rest area for a potty break, getting the kids in and out twice slowed us down a WEE bit

Not quite yet..... Lunch break at Hardees.... fill up the gas tank .... hitting the road... ETA is one hour!!

I think they're about 15 minutes still from i4. I hope they don't hit rush hour in Orlando. Kids are asleep, so all is well. Brain is still driving.

We hit a car accident...right on I4 of course. Brian finally got tired again right outside of Orlando so we switched spots...I got to sit in traffic..just like Jersey

What troopers! Glad the kids can get some shut eye. Thanks for the updates Kook and Janet!

We slept like rocks that first night, we wanted to do Early Morning Entry but it was 7am, and we slept through the alarm

Remember I left off at Day 1...only 12 to go and it's onto my June PTR..LOL. Which I almost changed already to take a day away to add CL to Universal..I am hopeless

Back Jeanette Missed You

I started to text you on Thursday when I changed our November reservation and then I recalled you saying you were working 72 hours when you got home so I did not want to bother you.

Hi Peeps!!

Just in from Pas ... Miss Kate in the Portofino lobby ... Jeanette says busy but lots of fun ... A perfect vacation so far!!

Little Brian and Brandon got to go on despicable me for the first time ... And a first for Kate was the mummy!! Yikes!! (Btw she LOVED it!)

I remember this pic, I think this was our first full day

As much as we WANTED to do Early Entry for Harry Potter it never happened...7am is WAAAAYYYY to early after that loooooooonnnng drive. But we made it to the parks by 10. It was pretty crowded, but I wasn't surprised since it was a Summer Saturday.

As soon as we got there I realized, I was hungry...so we hit the first stop A BAKERY A bought a variety of muffins (red velvet was super yummy) and fruit plates. Our first ride was Despicable Me, and it was 110 min. wait...thank goodness for Express Passes. This was the first time there was a wait in the Express line, but it couldn't have been more than 30-40min. From there we hit Transformers, and it was great. They all loved it! The line was about the same as Despicable Me. Brandon begged after that to go on the Mummy. DH doesn't do coasters, so it would be me & Brandon....Kate decided she wanted to try it. If you've seen the movie you can imagine that the ride is about as scary. But Kate is tough, I was nervous for her....

And as Janet posted she loved it!! All the other parents used her as the example, look at that little girl, she's not scared

Then we walked down to Men In Black, Bree has always wanted to do MIB and she was tall enough! We had such fun!! Where next???

Back to Transformers, and Maddie decided to go on the Mummy. This didn't go as smoothly. As we got onto the ride, she started having a panic attack, I held her in my arms and told her to keep her eyes closed. She was nauseous at the end, but she survived..and I am proud of her for trying. Her dad won't even try it...then back to MIB, over to the Simpsons. And we tried the Krusty Burger. The set up is different, it's like a food court in a mall, all different restaurants in one spot. You wait in line, and they only let a few people go get their food at a time. Which is great because you avoid a mad rush (the line was long for food though...). Once you pay, someone finds you a table...they were able to seat everyone right away since there were several people keeping track of seats, instructing everyone to go get their food and they'll be seated. I liked not having to worry about finding a seat, and for theme park food it was decent.

Halfway through our lunch, a manager came to DH and gave him a donut. He was wearing a birthday button, she said normally they give out free cupcakes, but she wanted DH to be able to share. So we got a huge donut with utensils and plates



We headed back for a swim after that....and Kate wasn't up for swimming, so we hit Publix for some snacks

You are definitely better off with the emailing IPO, and BWI is quick to respond in my experience. It is SO worth it. And you're guaranteed a balcony, excellent!!!!

Sorry to here you guys are not talking, one of the things Bob and I fuss over is his inability to discuss anything. I love to argue and win but he just buries his nose in a book and drops all conversation. He des not like any type of confrontation, I on the other hand am the "Mouth"
