A quick trip report from Animal Kingdom Lodge

Gotta like a guy who wastes no opportunity in embarrassing his teenage son!

But I think I liked the interaction you had with the Polynesian tiki statues. I nearly lost it at you "goosing" one of them! And I love AKL. I first stayed there in December 2001, and I've loved it ever since.

Oh, and I really liked that giraffe near the bottom of the page. It was like you found the Norma Desmond of giraffes. "I'm ready for my close up, Mr. DeMille!"

I enjoyed that.

Fortunately our son has recovered from that episode.

We love AKL, too. We had such a wonderful week. I'd get b/fast from the concierge lounge & we'd sit on our balacony for an hour just watching the animals. It is farther out, but the bus rides are quick and their is only 1 stop at the lodge.
