We just got home from a week stay at AKL.

We were upgraded from CSR to AKL Savannah view. We loved the resort. Loved it so much that we booked bounceback for next December at AKL. It is such a beautiful & relaxing resort!

We enjoyed all our meals but of course some were way better than others.
We tried a few new places this time & repeated lots of favorites.

Our flight was a late flight in so we ate supper the first night at AKL Mara. We both had chicken with mashed potatoes & green beans. It was pretty good. The green beans weren't my favorite thing but it worked for a quick meal. We paid OOP on this meal.

We dined at San angel Inn for lunch Monday. It was Delicious! We both started with tortilla soup. For our entree my hubby had some type fish & I had a combination platter. I was very pleased with this meal & it remains a repeat for us.

Supper that night was Narcoossees. We both started with a cheese platter which we enjoyed. for the entree my hubby got fish again & I got a chop. Usually, I always get a steak here but i wasn't really in a steak mood & i went for the chop instead. I didn't care for it at all....tough & tasteless. My hubby enjoyed his though. I went with the choc/ coconut creme dessert & our desserts were great. We decided next time to replace this meal & try somewhere else instead.

Tuesday, we ate OOP at Liberty Tree tavern. We had a salad with chicken on top of it. It was classified by both of us as good but certainly not anything special.

Supper was at Artist Point. I love the boat ride to Wilderness Lodge & I think that resort is so pretty. This is one reason we usually dine here. We both started our meal off with a salad, we had a steak for the entree & Cobbler for dessert. It was delicious. Steaks cooked perfectly & great service. I love the bread they serve with the meal too. Artist Point remains a repeat for us...the steaks though...even as good as they were were still topped by 2 restaurants later in the week.

Wednesday,we picked up a breakfast for 2 reasons. I've never dined at GG & I wanted to dine with the characters. Can I say Wow!! It was totally yummy! The cinnamon bun thing was awesome & they serve real bacon! Everything was delicious & they even have that great juice like Tusker house jungle juice. The characters were super & the service great. this is now my totally number one favorite breakfast spot! Plus, being the first to ride soaring was a huge bonus!

Late lunch as at LeCellier. I had soup as a starter & i think it was mussels or clams that my hubby had. we both had a steak & I was able to replace my side for a baked potato. Our meals were really good & the dessert was too. Great service as usual & this remains a repeat for us next time.

Supper was my favorite restaurant. Ohana!! It was delicious as usual. We love the salad & the bread. I only had chicken & my hubby had shrimp & chcken & they were perfectly cooked. I ate all the noodles & we were stuffed full before we even had dessert! Still we managed to put away lots of the bread pudding with that wonderful sauce! Still Tops in my favorite places to dine at Disney.

Thursday lunch was at Yak & Yeti. We always love this place. I had the fried green beans as a starter & my hubby some type dip with bread. Both were great.Sweet & sour chicken for me & fish again for my hubby & for dessert I had the wontons which are amazing & my hubby got a upside down pineapple
cake.Service & food were excellant as usual.

At 5 we went to Hollywood & Dine holiday dine. We went for snacks & drinks & to see the characters. The buffet was pretty impressive looking...however, I was unimpressed with the things I tried. The desserts were darling in looks but not very good at all! I was thankful we were just snacking as we were not impressed with the foof taste. But then we are not buffet people. The characters were cute & I did enjoy that part & we had a nice server. However, this is not a repeat for us...is a been there & done it for us.

Supper was a new one for us. As we were staying at AKL I wanted to try Jiko. It was so so good!! We both stared with a salad , had a steak as our entree & we tried 2 different desserts so we could share them. The bread & salad was excellant. The steak fork tender & a perfect seasoning. I loved the BQ tasting sauce on it. As I only eat well done steaks I'm always thrilled when i find a perfect steak! We were very full so we didn't finish all the dessert. Jiko got top marks from us & is now a repeat for us next time.

Lunch friday was at Teppo Edo. We always enjoy eating here. We had tempa as a starter & it was very good. For the entree I had chicken & my hubby chicken & shrimp. Both were delicious. The green cheesecake is tiny but good too. Our cook was fun & we enjoyed the complete meal. It is just a fun place to dine.

Supper was at CG. This is our place that we always eat our last big supper at. Is a perfect ending for a trip. As usual it was perfect! Great service & excellant food. had the BLT flatbread & he had cod tacos as our starter. Wow! Yummy!! Our steaks were totally perfect. Fork tender & such great flavor. These are the best steaks every single trip! We both ended with doughnuts which were very good too. This meal remains our favorite fancy place & it was as awesome as ever this time!

Saturday our last day we had an early lunch at Coral Reef. I had a salad & red snapper which was pretty good. My hubby had the steak . We both had a key lime dessert. this place remains a favorite of my hubby. We enjoy dining by the tanks.

Our last meal was at BOG. We shared a meat & cheese platter for a starter & it was pretty good. I had a porkchop which was excellant for my entree & I dont remember what he got but he liked it. My lemon cup
cake & his strawberry one were both very good too.

We ordered whatever we were in the mood for & never tried getting the most expensive things on the menu. I kept all my tickets & totaled them up at the end. We came out about $400 ahead on the dining plan. We love the dining plan as i enjoy getting a salad with my meal & I love getting a dessert.

Yum! Sounds like a great week! I've been hearing a lot about GG for breakfast...... so much so that I'm thinking of switching out my Cape May breakfast for it in March. Thanks for sharing your reviews!
