Does anyone have a picture of the main bed in a DCL cabin separated into two beds? I'm wondering how close I'm going to have to sleep to my sister, LOL. :p

I don't have a picture, buy my Mom and my Cousin were in a room by themselves and they asked the cabin steward to separate the bed into the twin bed configuration, and he did. My Cousin wasn't happy with it and called him back and had him extend the distance a little bit further. I'm pretty sure they moved the small bedside tables so that they were between the two beds.

I would estimate that it wouldn't be more than about 24 inches between the beds, but that can be a lot of space. That's the inside edge of one bed to the inside edge of the other one, it doesn't mean that she'll have to hang on that edge all the time.

hope that helps

That's what they did for us. There's an end table that goes in the middle of the two beds they are plenty of room away from each other.

YES I have pictures of the split beds. Give me some time to figure out how to post it and I'll post it to this thread. I've never done it before, so please bare with me.

If you'd like, you can email your photo to me as an attachment and I will post it for you.

With the Dis sites out, you have to get space on a server that allows hot linking, which is difficult some times.

I've emailed the pictures to albiats who has generously offered to post them for me. Look for them to be arriving soon!:D

Here are three pictures of the beds in a cabin, provided courtesy of wovenwonder.

The first one is the beds in the standard configuration, with her girls having fun before the mandatory safety drill.

The second and third one are the beds after they asked the cabin steward to separate them. Notice that one lamp and one night stand are now between the beds.
