A question regarding DDP snack selections.

Per the Disney website -
One (1) Snack
Choose from a frozen ice-cream novelty or fruit bar, popcorn scoop (single serving box), single piece of whole fruit, single serving Grab Bag of Frito-Lay's Chips, 20oz. bottle of Coke, Diet Coke, Sprite or 24oz. Dasani Water, medium fountain soft drink or apple juice. Available at select counter-service and snack-cart locations.

I know during the F & W Festival they allowed the use of snack credits for the tastings. Has anyone else enjoyed an exception to the above mentioned guideline? I'm wondering about ice cream cones instead of the novelty ice cream and if anyone has gotten a muffin or cookie, they seem to be in the same price range so I would think it would be ok but maybe for the sake of continuity they are sticking to only the items mentioned.

TIA,
Alice

Can you give me more info on this? We are visting during F & W and are considering the DP....this would be really great if we could use some snack credits for tastings...

Yes you can use the snack credits for tastings in Epcot. We went in October and it just went into effect, great perk!

To OP, there are no other exceptions at this time. The only snacks that are allowed are Popcorn, Ice Cream, Water, Soda and fruit (I think that's all)

Thank you! That is a great perk....I think my decision is made now :)

More specifically: You could use a snack credit for certain (indicated on the menu board) items at the 2005 Food & Wine Festival. No word yet on what the policy will be for 2006.

I have heard of others getting rice krispie treats and even a frozen coke as a snack. I think it does vary some still from place to place. They are starting to list next to items in the parks and resorts what counts as a snack item.

We were able to use our snack credits on the Mickey rice krispe treats. We had so many credits left at the end, we cashed in our credits for Mickey treats for my son's friends at home!

Thanks everyone - I thought I had seen some reports that indicated rice crispie treats were allowed. I'm glad to hear they are posting options on the kiosk boards. I'm sure more than likely my DD's will use them for the Mickey bars but none of the items mentioned really interested me. I'm hoping I might be able to use them for a muffin or something comparable in value at Boardwalk Bakery - that would be great :thumbsup2

Will enjoy all my snacks at F&W in OCTOBER.

The hotel food courts seem to be a lot more lenient (sp) than the parks. No exceptions in the parks.
