A question re Disney restaurants...

Hi,
I have a question... our two girls (6 and 9) are VERY fussy eaters but we would like to try one or two of the nice Disney restaurants. If we book a reservation would they let just me and my wife eat (and the children sit with us but not eat) or would they not allow this because of wasted seats not earning money?! Thanks, Matthew

Why would they deny you and your family? It does not matter that your girls don't want anything. Maybe they might want a soda/pixie light drink? And what if they wanted dessert. No Disney restaurant is going to throw you out the door if someone in your family is not eating because they are not hungry.

remember that some of those nice restaurants would order chicken fingers or mac and cheese for your kids if they wanted that......some are very accomodating.......just ask and if they do fine and if they dont......they dont...

If you have it in the budget, consider sending them to the NeverLand Club at the Polynesian. It was my dd's favorite thing. She was really sad when she got too old for it. It's a wonderful child care facility, but based on a Peter Pan theme. And it's very safe as well.

I don't think you'll have a problem at all. I agree with Pumba that most of the restaurants are very accommodating .

If you ask your server they can usually get something your children would like. When we had my nephew and he was only about chicken fingers we just asked and they got them for him.

I'm sure Disney would not care if your children didn't order anything but would your children actually enjoy sitting through a meal at the much slower pace of the signature restaurants. The meals generally take quite a big longer so that you have a "dining experience". I would think the time would drag for two young ones who just sat there while their parents ate. I know when I was a kid, I was sure my parents were intentionally punishing me if I had to sit at a table while they lingered over dessert and coffee.

I would also suggest, as did PP, that you look into one of the children's clubs where your daughters could have a bit of fun while you enjoyed a signature meal.
