A question of how DCL affects stock prices.

If you were to factor in effects of DCL and the state of their business, what do you anticipate would bring the stock down slightly?
•The release of the quarterly report.
• Prior to release of quarterly report.
• The next wave of cancellations.
• The announcement of the first sailing.
• DCL it’s too small to have an effect.

I want to grab a couple more shares of stock and just don’t know if I should do it now since I think cruising/DCL has an affect. so far I only have 20 shares but would like to pick up another five or 10.

We own Disney stock and don’t factor DCL when purchasing more.

DCL's revenues and profits are a drop in the bucket for Disney. Shanghai DL ropes in more revenue than all of DCL.

The three new ships will roughly double the capacity, and it still won't move the needle. I consider DCL more of a niche Disney product and not an actual segment.

The DIS stock will probably move lower if a second virus wave shuts down the parks (= OK reason to jump in), or the Disney+ subscriber pickup slows down (= tread with care). If you want to play the cruise recovery theme, look at RCL, NCLH, and CCL instead.

That said, don't buy stocks like you book your cruises. Be patient. Put in a conservative LIMIT order, and wait. Use volatility as your friend.

Like PP said, we also have Disney stock and base our decisions on the overall Walt Disney Company and not one small portion of the earnings/losses.

My $1,000 purchase of Disney stock is worth today $16,000. I don't sweat the speed bumps, I'm in it for the long term.

As others have mentioned, DCL is an extremely small portion of Disney. They are grouped in Special Experiences which includes DVC, DCL, & Adventures.

Fidelity's last estimate on revenue is that 33.8% comes from Parks & Experiences (24% US), 26.8% from Direct to Consumer, 25.2% from media networks, and 14% from Disney Studios.
