A question Moderate vs. Deluxe

If money is not an issue, I'd stay with WL. Having stayed there twice and once at a mod (CBR), there's nothing like the WL. CBR was very nice...beautiful resort...but once we stayed Deluxe it was too hard to go back to a Mod. Last year we stayed at the Poly and fell in love with that resort:love: But the WL runs a close second;)

Just wanted to mention that we also are staying at the WL in September for 7 nights. But, our price, including 6 day passes, dining plan, tax etc. is $2,100. When I called I asked about discounts and was told we had a 40% off pin for the hotel (I always ask about discounts because the CM won't just volunteer that info). I just wanted to mention this to you in case you hadn't asked about discounts when you called. I know Disney is supposed to be offering free dining in September, but for us, the 40% off resulted in a bigger savings as our son isn't three yet and there is no charge for him.

Also wanted to mention that we absolutely love the WL. It's a beautiful resort and a very relaxing place to return to at the end of your day. If you can, go to the Whispering Canyon restaurant. Our son had a great time when we were there last year. Have a great trip!

We'll be at the WL for 8 days, 7 day hopper tickets for 4 and deluxe dining, with AAA and our rate was $3800. It is our first time deluxe and first time WL.

It all depends on how close You want to stay to the park. You might want to check and see if there are any special for the dining plan . Also i got a great rate for the gf in dec. with park passes and the dining plan

Artist Point has very good food. WCC is alot of fun. I would do WL if money isn't an issue.

We stayed at WL last year with our (then) 3 year old. We all LOVED it!!! In my mind, the money for the Deluxes is definitely worth it. But it's totally a personal choice, and I realize that.

IMO, the hotel sets the mood for the whole vacation, even if you aren't in the room/hotel very often. If we were staying in a value at Disney I think I would be depressed at the end of the night coming back to the room versus being excited about returning to a deluxe and being able to watch the boat show or the fireworks from your personal balcony. Then again, we have never stayed at a value or a mod, but we generally chose Westins over Holiday Inns for our non-Disney vacations.

We just booked CL AKL for our upcoming September trip. Yes, it's a lot more than a mod, but I would rather spend the money on the hotel versus souvineers or extra food.
