a question for people with more than one christmas tree

I have 3 fake trees, most years I only put up 2. This year I will put up at least 3. One in the dinning room with all of my White House ornaments. The second in the Great Room, probably all snowman. The third will be in my Office with my precious moment ornaments on it. All are prelit, I do add a set of G50 bulbs to my PM tree, which simplifies decorating!

DD would like to add a tree for the Bonus Room too...I can neither confirm nor deny that I am contemplating another tree, LOL!

Gifts only go under the tree in the Great Room

No. One tree gets presents the others are "just for show". I realized I actually have 3 trees. One main tree, one little (like 2.5 foot tall) fibre-optic tree that goes on a table in the entrance hall, and a 3rd normal sized tree, that will go in our basement once it's finished. We collect ornaments when we travel, so someday the 2nd big tree will be our "travel tree".

We have a real, full sized tree in our living room. We also have a tiny artificial one that I put in the bedroom. It stays decorated so I just pull it out of storage and plug the lights in.

Don't know if it counts as a "second" tree, but DD always sets up a small tree on DGD's nightstand.. There is always one special gift under that tree on Christmas morning..:goodvibes

We will do two trees. The one in the formal livingroom will have presents for guests. The on in the familyroom will have our family presents.

We put a 10 foot fake tree in our solarium with our "fun" ornaments like the ones our girls made in school when they were younger and we run our Christmas Express train around it..

We put a 8-9 foot real tree in the family room next to the fireplace. This one gets our good ornaments on it and the presents under it. It wouldn't be Christmas morning without a fire in the fireplace while we open our presents. :thumbsup2:

We also have a 4 foot tall WDW Florist's tree that we paid way too much for when we stayed at the Boardwalk just before Christmas 2006. I put this up in the finished basement.

My plan this year is to put our fake tree in our dining room that will be a "formal" tree and I have some Christmas Boxes that look like presents that I will put under that. In the family room we will put the real tree and that will be our collection of ornaments and all the real presents will go under that.

No. The "main" tree in the living room gets the presents.
The Disney themed tree in the den stands in all its glory without presents.

2 fake trees. The big tree is for presents and then there is a really small tree that can sit on a desk top and that is the "gift card" tree.

I have about 7 trees... 1 full size one that goes in the living room, 1 tall but skinny one that goes in the Disney room, two 4 foot ones that go in each of DD's room and three in the 1 to 2 foot range that go in other places.

The main tree has most of the presents, the Disney tree has only Disney presents under it and they are wrapped in Disney paper :goodvibes We have a Monorail that goes around it too and the presents sit inside the track. Younger DD will sometimes put the presents from her under the tree in her room. The stockings hang on the fireplace in the family room and that is where Santa leaves his presents as well.

I would really, really, really like to get another big tree and have it in the family room, that way I could divide up the presents for home and the ones we need to take places so I am not always digging under the tree looking for them. I'm always afraid after we open presents Christmas morning that I am going to find a box for one of the nephews or someone that we have already celebrated with.

we have 2 fake trees. We have a finished basement so I put one down there, it is smaller and pink and I put my Barbie ornaments on it :goodvibes The other one is on the main floor and that is the one we put presents under

gifts go under the fake tree in the living room - more room and the fireplace.

The real tree has the Disney train running under it - and both it and the other fake tree have gift bags with tissue paper as fake gifts and also Christmas plush!

All presents go under our biggest tree. We have a 4' tree from years ago that I put up now and then in a different room. Then we have a table top tree.

I would love a Barbie tree someday. Right now I only have about 6 of the Barbie Hallmark ornament but eventually I will get there.

on the real/fake tree thread, a lot of people said they had more than one christmas tree.

to those of you who do, do you put presents under all the trees?

We have 2 trees & only put gifts under the tree in the living room:santa:

....nope. We put presents under the tree in our family room...the other tree, in the dining room, sits in the middle of the window facing the front of the house...

...when do you start decorating - Labor Day???

I put up 4 trees. The one in my kitchen is 4 ft. tall with a gingerbread theme. My son and daughter each have a 4 ft. tree in their rooms and the theme varies. Then in the family room we put the 8 ft. tree with all presents going there. If we are not traveling for xmas, which we usually are, I buy a "real tree" for the living room. Love the scent of a fresh xmas tree. Christmas is my favorite holiday!:santa:
