Can anyone tell me how long it would take to drive from WDW to St Augustine please?

Thanks in advance :)

It depends upon speed, traffic, etc but I would estimate 2 - 2&1/2 hours to be safe.

Barring any major traffic, which of course who can predict?, it will probably take anywhere from 2-1/2 to 2-3/4 hours driving at around 65 to 75 MPH. I used to live in Palm Coast which is about 1/2 south of St. Augustine and it usually took us about 1-3/4 to 2 hours to drive to WDW.

Takes my mom 2.5-3hours. 2 hours is cutting it close!

She's usually leaving at the wrong times anyway that are constistent with I-4 traffic.

My recommendation--take 417 and go around the city and pick up 95 on the flip side.

Then you can be safely in the 2-2.5 hour window.

(mapquest has it at 2 hours 7 minutes)

I agree with the 2.5 to 3 hour range. Traffic on I-4 can be rough, and they are still doing construction up around Daytona as of a week ago.

Thanks :) Another question, if I may?

Is it worth the drive to spend just a day there? DH saw it on a television programme the other day and said he would love to go and visit. Or would we be better staying overnight? And, if so, can anyone recommend a reasonably priced place to stay?

Sorry, that was 3 questions

I live about 15 minutes from Old St. Augustine and I love it. There are tons of shops, restaurants and lots of history. You can take a tram for a set price ($20 maybe?) and the wonderful drivers will give you all kinds of info plus there are many stops you can choose to get off. You can shop, eat, whatever, then return to where you were dropped off and within 20 minutes another tram will come around to pick you back up. Well worth the price really since there is a lot of walking.
The drive is really only an hour and a half from WDW barring any accidents or construction.
I highly recommend you going there and spending the day. If you want to stay over there are beautiful bed & breakfast places all over.
Here's a good link for you:

edited to add: If you do stay over night, a ghost tour is a must!
