How can I determine the deposit needed for a particular Cruise without going through the steps of purchasing it? I know the price of the cruise from the DisneyCruise website.

I believe it is 20% of the price unless you have a placeholder, then it's 10%.
Sort of.

It is 20%. It's only 10% with a placeholder if you put it toward a cruise of at least 7 nights.

You can get to the point of seeing it on the website without actually booking. If you put it in your cart, it will show you the total, the deposit, and the balance due. If you don't want it, you just remove it from your cart. Be aware though that whatever cabin you have selected will be out of inventory for a little while, so it would not show up if you went back. If you need to show someone, you can put a hold on the reservation for I believe 72 hours.

The required deposit for a DCL cruise (with no onboard booking benefits [aka placeholder] or deposit sale applied) is 20% of the total cruise fare (do not include any port fees and taxes in this calculation which is added to get the total cruise cost).

just put my deposit down today it was 10%, there is a promotion right now for all:

'4 night or long sailings, that do not require final payment at the time of booking and take place between June 22, 2019 and May 30, 2020. This offer is valid from Dec 22, 2018 to Feb 15, 2019, US and Canada only'.
