A question about requests

Hi,
Planning to stay at the Port Orleans Riverside. Does anyone know how and if they grant requests on where to stay? I realize they're not guaranteed but just curious if I check in early in the morning if I'll more likely get what I want?

It depends on how full the resort is and how many people are checking in. You can always ask and see what happens.

We just got back yesterday from Port Orleans Riverside. We had requested a king sized bed in the Mansions. We checked in around 11am and got just what we asked for.

I think much of it depends on when you go and how full the resort is. I was prepared to not get what we had requested and was delighted when they assigned us that room.

check in EARLY! We checked in at check in time and despite the fact that we had requested a room close to food/lobby/pool in that order because our oldest son is autistic and will suddenly need something NOW, and we were unable to get any of the requests we had asked for, all this despite contacting WDW numerous times, asking it to be noted that we had a special needs child etc. when we got to POR NONE of the requests were even ,listed.Since I talked to so many different people, it would seems to me to be that requests given to WDW directly do not transfer well to the resort. I would call and out your requests in EVERYWHERE you can find a number to call.
