A question about MNSSHP....what time should we get there?

I thought the park closed at 6pm and then reopened at 7pm. But now I'm reading that you can get in with your MNSSHP ticket at 4pm. What is there to do between 6-7 pm? Do they get everyone out of MK? Is part of the park & rides open? I had planned to spend the morning/afternoon at MK and then go back to the resort for a break and to get kids in costumes and have TS at resort at 5:00 then head back by 7pm for the start of the event. But now I'm wondering if we should just do CS at MK for dinner sometime after 4pm instead. I'm all confused!

From what I've heard they put all the people for MNSSHP in one of the lands and you just wait there until they clear everyone else out of the park and while they are decorating for the party. What we were thinking is trying to get an ADR for around 5 somewhere and just eating and taking our time until the party starts.

They have 'unofficially' been letting party goers in after 4:00p for a couple of years now.

Between 6:00p and 7:00p they close all the lands, shops and CS restaurants except in one land. In that land the rides will be going and a CS will be open as well. Last year it was Adventureland/Frontierland that remained open and in the past it was always Tomorrowland.

I prefer eating during that hour.

We went last year at around 6:00 pm, which I thought was too early. The CM that gave us our bracelets said they've been letting people in since 4:00 or 4:30. We'd show up earlier this year, but we have an ADR at 5:00.

yeah...after your 5:00 PM adr is good...4 is too early! Just be on the look out for the RARE characters!!!!!!!!
