I know there have been discussions about it before, but at that time I was focused on other things. My understanding is that it isn't available every morning, correct?

But, it is available on Tuesdays? On the days we'll be there, DL opens at 8 Sunday, 9 Monday, and 10 Tuesday and Wednesday.

I think I remember someone here saying they don't do Early Entry on Wednesday. So, my thought was, the best day for us to use this option is Tuesday.

One other question while I'm here...on Monday we're doing DCA, is it worth it to do the hour at Disneyland before and after DCA opens and closes? I was thinking maybe go that morning and evening and do Main Street...have my kids' silhouettes done, visit the bakery, etc. I figure that it wouldn't do much good to try to get very far into the park since we'd just have to come out to go to DCA.

Thanks again for your advice!

Yes they have early entry on Tuesdays. I would suggest getting there early for the early entry. They only have 2-3 gates to let those people in.

As far as going to Disneyland and DCA for the extra hour. I say do it. It all depends on your children though. I have a 3 and 2 year old. We would get to Disneyland when it opened and then ride all of the rides they wanted there, then head over to DCA and ride the rides there. At night we would head back sometimes to Disneyland, or we would get a jump on the dinner crowds and go to dinner an hour earlier. It is amazing how many rides you can go on in an hours time when the crowds are not there. :earsboy:

Have fun!

Hi, Tony!
I'm in your "neighborhood" and heading to DL in June, too!
The Early Entry is for Fantasyland (and Buzz Lightyear, I hear!) and is offered on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday.
It is listed on the disneyland.com website when you look under tickets and get more details.
You get 1 Early Entry included with any 3 Day or more Park Hopper "Bonus" ticket.
We purchased ours through amusementpark.com and it was included.
The Mickey's Toontown Morning Madness is only included in packages purchased through the Disneyland Travel Company.
We're staying offsite and booked everything separately ourselves, so we won't get that, but the extra hour for one morning in Fantasyland
will help us out, as this will probably be our only trip out west and we want to do EVERYTHING!
Happy planning - This board is great for all sorts of newbie questions ... I should know!

For an hour, unless you just want to do one or two quick rides at DL I would head straight to DCA be in line 45 mins before scheduled park opening. They do a "soft" opening at DCA where you can get in 30 min before park scheduled opening and during this time you are able to ride Soarin' . By the time you are done riding Soarin' you should be just in time for the rest of the park to open.

I tell you, my job is really interfering with my trip planning!!! This is a crazy time of year anyway; we're just finishing up our fifth straight week of testing. Add to that the legal paperwork required for compliance with No Child Left Behind and it's a tough couple of weeks.

But, on top of that, two weeks ago I was told I am changing jobs for fall...and my new job requires plans that have to be written in the next week AND I have to find somewhere that offers a 3 hour grad course I need to be fully certified for this new job. The course may involve teaching summer school, which starts while my boys and I will be in CA.

And, at this point, I can't even find a University that will offer it for summer.

Sigh. What was supposed to be an exciting kick-off to summer may end up being a 5 day break followed immediately by another 6 weeks of work. We don't get in to the airport here until nearly midnight. It's going to be rough if we don't get home until 1 a.m. and I have to be up at 6 the next day to be to work.

Sigh.

Oh, well. Thank you for being patient with my questions! These are things I'd probably have time to figure out myself, given enough time and a guidebook or two. However, since I don't have the time, I especially appreciate all of you being willing to share your expertise with me!
