A Pre Thanksgiving/Christmas Vacation, Our First Split Stay & Our 5th Trip to Disney!

Here is DS10 before his first "travel" soccer game Sunday. Of course it was away, about 45 minutes to an hour away. So DH and DS7 stayed here because DS7's games are all home games for his age group. They didn't want to chance being late since DH is the coach. And good thing they didn't, DS10's game went way over and we were late to DS7's game. So I didn't get any pictures of DS7 in his soccer uniform before his first game of the season. Maybe this coming Sunday!

Anyway, here is DS10. He's holding the ball so goofy as to cover up the name of our town. (got to be careful online you know! :))

They ended up with a 7-4 win! :cheer2: And DS7's team won 5-0!

I know how you feel about the airfare thing. If we would have booked months ago we could have gotten each Round Trip ticket for $149.
The departing flight would have been non-stop from Kansas City leaving around 7am with the arrival time around 10am, which would have been lovely.
Now the non-stop flight is full and all the other ones are more expensive.
I think we'll probably drive down, since we can't really book airfare until we're sure we're going on the trip. This would allow us a stop in Georgia to see my sister and nephew. It would be even better if my parents let us borrow their Prius. We'll see though...

I hope your outgoing flight drops in price!

Oh I know, this whole airfare thing is beyond frustrating!!! :furious:

I'm going to do my daily check right now. . . :wizard:

Has anyone ever flown on seperate airlines for the same trip? AirTran's 1:50 pm flight down dropped to $89. Should I jump on it??? :confused3 SW's 1:50 flight is still at $139 :scared1:. But we are flying back with SW. Any disadvantage to flying on 2 different airlines?

Shelly~ I think I would do it!! Do they all fly back to the same aiport? that would be my concern, because we leave our car in the garage there. If that's not a problem, do it!! $89 is soooo much cheaper! I don't see what it would hurt...I think you should! Our Cont. flights are all RT, so I don't have to deal with that....if I did(and we had any decent flight competition here) I would split it for sure to save $50 each!!!

Weren't you hoping to get there earlier???

I was, but the only morning non-stop flight is at 7:00am with SW and it is at $229. I'm not sure at this point how much longer I should wait out that flight to go down.

The next earliest non-stop flight with SW is at 1:50 at $139. AT has a 1:50 at $89 today!

Oh what to do . . . . :confused3

Yep, it's all the same airport.

I need to talk to DH, but I am thinking about just buying the AT flight and being done with it. I'm so tired of waiting out SW. . .

Shelly, I'm with you. I think I'd book it and know that it was done. No more worries about airline tickets.

Good Morning!:goodvibes

Wait! Delay, delay!!!!!

Where are you? Don't book yet.

Are you here?

Oh, I would buy it now too!! I flew southwest and waited a few weeks to get a good price before I bought tickets. We purchased them in February for our May trip. We got a good deal. I did keep checking as our trip got closer to see if there were lower prices but they kept going up!!

BOOK AT NOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm here, I'm here!!

I was having trouble logging on to the DIS for a few minutes. But I'm here now.

Going to check that link!

:goodvibes

I was just dialing you!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

OMG JO!! Thanks for calling!! I think I am going to book! That will help make up for some of the baggage fees. Does anyone know how/when you get charged for your baggage fees? Last we flew with AT there weren't any baggage fees. And since then we've only flown with SW.

:lmao:

I was afraid you were already booking.

As far as the baggage fees- they might have a place when you book online to say how many bags you want to take- then there's usually a discount for prebaggage booking. If not, they'll ask for your cc at check in at the airport to put them on.

:scared1:
The 1:50 FLT dropped to $79!!!!!!!!

Hope you're booking.:goodvibes

J~

Where were you Missy? We could've three way called you!:lmao:
