I would like to thank everyone again for the prayers. We had to put her down this morning. I just wouldn't give up until she couldn't take it anymore. She just couldn't breath. We buried her on our property and DH did a Native American service. My sweet horse is now without pain. Its my pain I have to live with.
So very sorry to hear that about your lovely Pahsu. She has been a buddy to you, and you to her for so many years. Remember, Poppinsme, one day, again......
Rainbow Bridge
Just this side of heaven is a place called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run, trot, gallop and play together.
There is plenty of food, be it hay, oats or an occasional carrot, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable.
All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor; those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by.
The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind.
They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. Her bright eyes are intent; Her eager body quivers.
Suddenly she begins to trot from the group, then galloping over the green grass, her legs carrying her faster and faster.
You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart.
I'm so sorry to hear about Pahsu I know you will probably hurt forever but I truly believe she waits for you and thanks you for the life she had with you. I pray for you and your DH and family to have peace
I'm so sorry to hear this news, but thank you for sharing your loss. I live in horse country and thought about sweet Pahsu several times during the past week.
She's at rest now, and hopefully your grief will soon be overtaken by all the pleasant memories of your time together.
