So on our trip we saw the worst and best in many people. I've posted the worst we saw separately and decided to balance that with the best. The first day of our trip DH and I had reservations at Jiko, while waiting for our table we sat at a table in the bar area.

Shortly after we arrived a couple checked in for their table and were standing to wait as all the tables in the bar were full. It was obvious they were exhausted, so DH and I offered them our table as we were still fresh as we'd just arrived. After they'd sat DH and I went to the bar to get a glass of wine before dinner. The gentleman that we'd given the table to came over and paid for our drinks.

He didn't need to, but it was such a nice gesture that it really made our night. So thank you to that kind gentleman, it was truly appreciated.

See? There are nice people with manners left in the world! Hooray for that gentleman.

Sometimes people forget that karma works when you do NICE things too!

Good for you, and thanks for the reminder that when you do good out in the world, it comes back to you. :goodvibes

Now if everyone could take a lesson on that... everyone would really see the magic!! That was really sweet of you to do that for the other couple.

That was very cool on both parts!:thumbsup2

Bravo to BOTH of you. Maybe that gentleman will post about his nice experience... My wife & I were exhausted from a hectic day in the parks/trouble with rental car/rude person on shuttle etc. but this really nice couple gave up their table for us.

Our last day there in Sept. 2007, I picked out a couple with a small child & gifted them our stroller. I'd purchased the red & black umbrella stroller to use only while we were down there. Renting one for 4 days would have cost the same amount and having my own, we could get our sleepy daughter from the park to the bus to the resort room. I didn't need a stroller at home, so I found someone just checking in, struck up a conversation & bam!
I hoped later that it made their trip a little bit better. And I hope that they appreciated the gesture and paid it forward.

Love that!! As wonderful as the Disney experience already is, can you imagine how AMAZING it would be if everyone did even just one small thing for someone else while they were there?!?! :cloud9:

I'm going to give it a shot when we get there in a month. :flower3:

That's a great experience. Isn't it more fun to recall the good things than the bad?

Thanks for being a kind citizen! It seems hard to come by sometimes, so it's nice to hear stories like this! DH and I try to do things like this too...there are always people worse off than us and it helps remind us how grateful we are.

I'll tack on!

Hubby and I love Pal Mickey, but believed we would not be back to The World in a long while (turns out we're going a second year in a row, which won't happen again anytime soon ;). So we decided to gift our Mickey to someone. At first we thought a child would be the obvious choice, but then we thought, 'We are two funloving adults who love our Pal! Why not find some folks like us would like it!'

So we walked around, in the last hour before we had to head back to our hotel and get to the airport. And there they were--a newlywed couple wearing their bride and groom mouse ears. And the husband also had a "First Trip" button on! So we approached them adn asked if they would allow us to give them a wedding gift, and they looked bewildered but said yes. We handed over Mickey, gave them a short lesson on how he worked, and wished them well. It was hard letting Mickey go--we were attached! But knew he would be happier playing in the parks with that couple than sitting on a shelf at our house. :)

When you are able to do something nice for someone else it makes your day brighter. When I was at Epcot in Sept I was at the pavilion where you try all those different Coke drinks. A woman asked me where I had gotten the Pooh jibbit I had on my croc. I really couldn't remember. She said that they had been there 6 days and could not find one Pooh jibbit and her daughter (about 6) really was disappointed. I asked if she would like the one I had and took it out of my croc and gave it to her. Her parents said I didn't have to do that but I felt it probably meant more to the little girl than it did me. Later while I was taste testing the sodas the little girl came over and gave me a water bottle holder they bought for me to say thank you. It made me feel so good that I am sure I had a big smile on my face all day. I saw them a few times during the day and the father would say "Hey there's are friend Mary."

Well done guys :thumbsup2

If only everyone would do this - even holding a door open or letting someone else on the bus first :flower3:

As John Lennon said ' Insant karma's gonna get you ' :yay:
